They should have kept the same style/genre as XCom UFO defense with obvious graphics overhaul, and level setups. Would have been AMAZING. Long live traditional XCOM :)
I don't care much for the PS1 classics but I'll take a PSN title and a couple mini's, especially Tetris if they ever give that out. The option to get into BETA's early is also a big bonus, that being able to play a full game title for an hour to "try before you buy" is a very good feature.
Your paying $50 for a year which is 4 games free a month. That doesn't include everything else. You clearly get more value out of the program than the $50 you pay in.
Its better for him to predict a lower number. If its over 1 million he claims he was right, that 1 million would get picked and he's amazed that it went higher. If he picks to high he looks like he has recently in the past, like he doesn't know anything.
Playin it safe.
I'll get it day 1.
Play MW2 instead because they practically look the same. And while your disagreeing with me I didn't like MW2 either, not as much as CoD4 anyway.
Every idiot having the ability to be vocal isn't always a good thing. But I concur, more people need mics. Just its not always a good thing.
To xtreampro above me: Its a social program and for the millions who use it they love and enjoy it. There are arcade games to play there, pool, Texas Holdem, bowling etc. It may not be for hardcore gamers but there are MANY people who enjoy that social aspect of it.
To each his own.
Delete the HOME icon from the XMB and restart your PS3. Then click the HOME icon again. It'll download the newest update and your set to go. For some reason some of the updates require this, not sure why. I've had to do it twice. Just don't delete your HOME save files and your fine, just the icon.
Do this ^ it works. Did it last night and have no issues. Just delete the HOME icon from the XMB.
If giving away stuff to early adopters is bad what do you call OnLive giving away a 1 year subscription free and then following it up with a second year for $4.95 a month when the normal cost will be $14.95 a month?
Its 17.99 for 3 months. Find the video of it and listen, he says $17.99.
Score for Sony. Great job this year.
Very well stated, especially about having different goals for the most part.
That might be true with the game for everyone of their major characters but another Mario title, especially Sports Mix does nothing for me, and I mean nothing.
I wouldn't call it a deal breaker but it sucks you can't keep the stuff you are offered each month, it is the perk to getting it, but on that note its the perk to "keeping" the subscription to.
Essentially you have the option to acquire a lot more value than what you are paying for each year and that library will get bigger, adding much more value then you are spending. That being said the perk is to keep it, cancel it and its gone.
Sucks bu...
Sony: Ours isn't required.
Not fail. You are offered another option. You like one flavor of ice cream or prefer to choose from multiple flavors?
I'll go with multiple.
Well said.
Couple that with the first game being Wipeout HD which is like $20 you already have almost half the service price of a year given back to you. That doesn't even include the mini's and PS1 classics you get each month.
Depends on how you look at it. If you have a BT headset with the cell phone you own from whatever provider you've got one you don't have to buy cause it'll work with your PS3.
Its all about perspective. Atleast Sony allows me to use whatever headset I want.
Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing them putting PS1 classics in there, I've got an original 60GB with full BC. I just don't play any old games, I like the new stuff minus going back to play some FF7 and God of War games.
I was just saying even without counting the PS1 classics you still get a good deal.
