Infamous was good title for them to put on the store but I truly hope Sony keeps up with putting good titles on the store with this 1 hour demo for PSN+ users. Full game prices should also be cheaper in these cases as they are Digital Downloads and therefor cheaper for Sony to sell, but we'll see how they handle it.
I just upgraded my HDD to 500GB so I'm all prepped and ready to go for PSN+ :)
Score. Downloading it when I'm done playing MAG tonight! Woot.
Sony got rid of BC because people ****** and moaned about the price of the console. You want a cheaper console you lose features. This is Sony's way of making some of that money back that would have gotten with the BC feature, re-releasing PS2 games as classics.
Glad I've got the original 60GB for when needed.
Really looking forward to this game, even if I'd have to build a gaming pc for it. That being said I wanna see gameplay footage first.
I'm done clicking all all these rumor stories. No more hits from me. I'll wait till Sony updates the blog with the official release, no questions, no rumor, no concerns just facts.
People also complained about the $600 price tag of the PS3 when it first came out but it was well worth it, mine is still going strong, and no people are wanting the BC back that I still have.
PSN+ is aimed at core PS3 users, its not forced on you and its a choice people can make. If its not for you, its not for you, but it may be for others.
PSN+ is a day 1 purchase for me. To each his own.
Thank you for beating to it. The only thing I can add is that this is an OPTION. No one is forcing people's hands. Like multiple flavors of ice cream, just like I like multiple choices in the products I buy, this is one of em.
Have a bubble on me sir.
I got into the Founding Members program the other day. I won't be paying for a subscription to OnLive. The potential is there but thats it, just potential. There is no way I'm trading my PS3 graphics for what OnLive offers which isn't great. The game selection is poor and the titles they have listed as coming soon aren't much better.
Couple those issues with the fact that if you don't get a special deal with them its going to cost you like $14.99 a month w...
Ah! Fricking GameStop and their good pre-order deals. I hate shopping there but they get the better pre-order deals. What gives :(
Concur, well said. Have a bubble on me.
I have and do organize games with multiple friends almost daily. I jump on MAG, they see I'm playing it on my profile, they turn on MAG. If I'm not in a game I send a party invite, they join the group and we go. If I'm in a game they join the game and finish it out (sometimes in the same squad if a spot is open) and if not then we are still in the same game, finish at the same time, and group up from there.
Really not that hard.
Wipeout HD is easily worth the $20 they ask for it, if not a bit more. Its a full fledged game. At the end of the year just subscribe to the service again and keep all that stuff from the first year and look at all the stuff you'll continue to get in your renewed subscription.
Score.
I agree here. As much as I'd love to see a movie subscription plan with PSN+ it would have to be AMAZING for me to drop my netflix plan. I pay for the 3 movies a month plan and have the PS3 Netflix disc which is awesome.
I don't think Sony could beat that deal, not right now anyway. There just isn't enough movies on the store to get me to drop Netflix currently.
On like the third page where the guy complains about it taking 30 minutes to power down the PS3. Obviously he's exaggerating but seriously? I see no point in him bringing up the power down issue which I never even remotely considered being an issue. I was baffled at reading it.
So your trusting a company to hold those save files for you without worrying about them getting lost/damaged etc? Yeah, thats guaranteed not to happen. I think Cloud Storage should be an option but don't put all your eggs in one basket.
I just upgraded my PS3 HDD and had 0 issues with the backup utility or my game saves. Rock on.
So let me get this straight, you think 1 company should have total control of network lines and then total control of the prices rather than several large companies battling it out for our $, creating competition, which creates faster speeds at lower prices for us?
If thats what your promoting then go do it somewhere else. Multiple companies having control of the ability to make faster connections etc keep this stuff affordable and keeps us customers getting better deals.
MAG is an amazing gaming experience online. It truly is a team game where the lone wolf won't win you a game, work together or fail together.
I've had a blast playing MAG and will continue to do so. Interdiction is another step in a great direction for MAG and has been a blast. Rock on Zipper.
In all honesty, coming from a guy who doesn't use XBL how many free games are you able to download with you subscription cost + discounts on others etc? I'm not aware of any.
I'm not knocking XBL but I've never heard anyone say M$ does this for their subscribers like Sony is doing. Yeah, I can't keep all the games if I cancel but thats fine, I've got em while I have my subscription which is what I want in this case, keeping them would just be icing on ...
@DC1 you are correct. Good post.
