Could you please write your articles instead of making these videos? The truth is, not only do I just generally have a problem with the amount of wild speculation, but if I'm going to regard what you say at all, I don't want to have to watch you stumble over your words to say it. You take too long to get to a point most of the time. If you'd write them, I could just skim to the good parts. Moreover, if you wrote your articles you could site your sources. You could even write your articles, th...

When asking a question like "What makes you think heroes need wangs?" I'm referring to a group that could have wangs or that could not. When speaking exclusively of a group consisting of women, then yes, I would be speaking of heroineS, but when speaking of a mixed gender group, I can either say both (e.g. heroes and heroines) or I can default to the masculine plural and just say heroes. The same is true of all titles distinguished by gender. If I am speaking of a female host, she's...

I couldn't have made such a suggestion without reading it, and I was considering writing a point by point argument against this nonsense, but I decided against it because it would be a waste of my time as I found reading the article to be.

But honestly, the most important thing that this article neglects is that in its attempt to suggest that Games should stay current, like Lady GaGa, it fails to consider the timeless impact of something like Kane. Lady GaGa will be forgotten as...

Don't bother reading it, and don't bother approving it. There's no comparing Citizn Kane to lady GaGa, and since games are indeed cinematic but have nothing in common with pop singers, this article doesn't even make sense. I'm surprised the author wasn't embarrassed enough to not post this.

I didn't say that Bungie et al. constitute the whole xbox community, they constitute the whole xboT community. There's a difference between an Xbox fan (someone who really likes or even prefers the Xbox) and an XboT (someone who blindly swallows everything MS throws at them, believes everything about the Xbox is perfect, and who vehemently hates all that is Sony). The same basic difference is also true of PS3 fans and SDF members (for those who don't know SDF stands for Sony Defense Force). I...

Technically, we don't know the name of Natal either, and if they stick with that name then I think they've made a dumb naming decision. Natal is the name of the project; it's a reference to birth, as they intend this to be a the birth of controller free gaming and the rebirth of the 360. That is a good project name, but not a good product name. It needs to have a name that conveys what it is. This is especially problematic because they pronounce it in a fancy french way (nuh-tall) when everyo...

And who said a hero needs a wang? Your using impotence/sexism to make a lame point. For all the DMC comparisons, I find the combat system in this game to be very different and much better. The story and setting are indeed basically the same thing, and for that matter it's just as bad (some Japanese nonsense about magic and angels/demons). But where it counts, Bayonetta is a significant improvement over DMC. The combat system in DMC becomes very dull after a while, but in Bayonetta it has a wa...

I generally find your comments well reasoned, but I think you need to do a bit of fact checking first.

PS3 fans only began to talk down Bayonetta(and few at that, as most I believe still like this game) because the Xbot regulars (bungie, we won, and you know the rest) began to say that Bayonetta was indeed going to be better than GOWIII; along with saying that because this was just another multiplat that runs better on Xbox, the Xbox must be the more powerful system. They really ...

Indeed, your English is bad. He didn't mean to say excited (meaning enthused, full of energy or anticipation) he meant to say exited (as in the past tense of exit, to leave.) People entered the stage, said something, and then exited. Don't mean to sound rude, but if I am, it's certainly no more rude than your failed attempt to correct the author's English.

On topic: AWESOME, Sly Cooper IV, sick. I also really want to know more about this so called outback game.

I'll admit I never played the game as regularly or as ardently as I play other games, but I always come back to it when I'm between purchases. The community is just plain brilliant, and they just keep adding more and more great things. Every PS3 owner should have this game. I'm always amazed at the new levels I come across.

I've known about this game since 2007 and so has everyone else who knows me because I've talked about it. It's not a sleeper hit. I expected it to be good, though I didn't expect it to be as well received as it has been, and I suspect that it's not quite as good as everyone is making it out to be. I'm waiting for a price drop on this one, as there are just too many good games coming out for me to pay for them all at full price. The sad part is that I probably won't end up playing this game un...

I mean, s/he/it (say that 10 times fast) is extremely infamous by now. Always the freaking first comment whenever he does comment. But really is this just a desperate ploy to get bubbles? I just don't see what kind of satisfaction he could derive from any possible set of responses to these obviously out of character statements.

First of all I want to point out that this dispute is largely semantic, which renders it trivial... but I just happen to love trivial disputes (and trivial pursuits for that matter).

1080 p does solely refer to the number of horizontal lines, that is, the number of lines perpendicular to the Y axis, and parallel to the X axis. For example:

1 _
2 _ Horizontal lines are parallel to the horizon, FYI ;)
3 _

Is that he doesn't even pretend to understand the many technical reasons why one might have to do an install on the PS3 and not the 360. The installs have nothing to do with the power of the cell processor per se.

There are two basic reasons why an install would be necessary. As Thom notes, load times from the harddrive are much faster than from the disk drive. This is especially true in the case of bluray which has a slower load time than DVD (only because it possesses so much m...

Every report I've read on Samsung's tech states that it requires specifically designed images and that it's very painful to watch, so no, it won't make any Xbox game 3D, and if it could make any xbox game 3d, it could do the same thing for any Playstation game. I don't mind the glasses, especially if they're comfortable and fashionable. And what Samsung can do has nothing to do with what Microsoft can do. I was saying that it doesn't make sense for MS to invest in the tech, but it does make s...

What did sony do to you people? You just don't see these types of articles from sony websites. PS3 owners don't lack so much confidence that they believe that their success necessarily means their rivals doom. How mentally defunct do you have to be to think that at this point one of the console makers can be "defeated" or "blown out" or whatever nonsense you want to call it. I don't think anyone doubts that Halo Reach will have some of the largest sales this year of any ga...

3D in the home is something that microsoft isn't in a position to pioneer like Sony.

There's no need for a new console yet, as the current gen consoles still have a ways to go before genuinely being maxed out, and Apple isn't going to try to jump into a crowded gaming market when they don't have any developer or publisher support. None of the third parties wants to learn how to develop games for a whole new system right now.

Come now, you're just being obtuse. PS3's are being used as super computers by the USAF, they wouldn't bother with Xboxes for such a purpose. The Cell processor is orders of magnitude faster than the multicore processor used in the Xbox; and it's not merely theoretical, it's a fact accepted by Stanford University, the United States Armed Forces, and everyone else in the tech industry, and yes, in the REAL world. The multicore is only "better" for "general purpose computing"...

Alan wake is no longer an open world game. That was changed a long time ago.

The cell processor was designed so that it could do most of the work that a GPU does, and in games where programmers take advantage of that fact, we see results that surpass anything the xbox has to offer. Technically the PS3 doesn't need a GPU, but they added one to make it easier for devs and even MORE powerful. The GPU on the PS3 isn't a bad one and isn't less powerful, it just doesn't have some of t...

Is that despite the fact that those are very legitimate points of comparison between the titles, this article does not address those seriously and does not have adequate information to make a comparison on those points as both games have not been released so no one other than the developers knows anything about the plots or how they're developed. The articles is not meant to point out interesting similarities and divergences, the guy states explicitly that he makes these videos for the expres...
