Sony is going to release something this year to compete with ME2... ME2.

It's coming, just like stories from Liberty City.

Whether these people are refering to in-game graphics as opposed to FMVs.

I don't know why someone would disagree with you unless they have some sort of information refuting your claim, in which case they should have just posted it. Anonymous disagrees are so useless.

Being hyper masculine doesn't make a game great. If anything it makes you think that the people who play these games need to compensate for their own internally compromised sense of masculinity.

Gears is a good game, but the one problem I do have with it is that it seems so desperate to show off it's machismo. Master chief is more of a bad ass simply because he's a man of dignity, of action and of few words, he goes it alone, and he doesn't have to flaunt his strength or manlines...

They probably mean to say that they will be selling the game bundled with a headset from then on.

And neither can many of the people on this forum.

The money MS paid Rockstar was not a Loan which Rockstar had to pay back, it was an advance payment, which simply means that Microsoft paid for something ahead of time before actually receiving it. That is, Microsoft paid for the DLC before it was finished. An advance payment is different from a cash advance, which MS would not be able to give to Rockstar since MS is not a banking institution. In financial jargon, "advance&qu...

I've never heard that it was a loan, and I've certainly never heard that Rockstar gave MS $70million in return. MS isn't a bank, so I don't see why Rockstar would borrow the money from them anyway. Can you provide an article to prove your statement. Really, I'm not arguing against you here, I just would like to see your statement verified as I'd never heard that before and from what I can tell the only other sources for that information online are a few posts on some other forum. This article...

xTruthx... those pics couldn't have made the point better. Ghostsmoker simply got owned. Clearly he's been smoking something other than just ghosts. "Doesn't have the kick ass look..." in otherwords doesn't look like a game for meatheads. Not that gears is strictly for meatheads, but what better word to describe the appearance of the main characters.

NES made gaming mainstream and proved that plastic peripherals can work long before Guitar Hero was dreamed of. Guitar Hero has sold no systems and the only other peripheral games spawned from it were games exactly like it. Guitar hero is just DDR with a guitar instead of a pad, so guitar hero really changed nothing. Original NES had additional peripherals and brought gaming into almost every household in the western world. People don't buy a game system just to play guitar hero, it's too muc...

Games aren't always purely about fun for the sake of fun. They're about challenges for the sake of fun. What he seems to be proposing is that games all become cakewalks where you run around and shoot stuff with virtually no consequences. Dying isn't fun, but if you didn't have the prospect of dying in a game, then there would be no sense of accomplishment. The real bottom line here though is that if you don't like that style of gameplay, then don't buy that style of game. If radiation levels ...

The problem with this guy with ModNation Racers is really a problem he has with LBP, that is no problem at all.

He's concerned that he won't have the time to make new tracks in ModNation racers, and that those tracks are the only ones which will be worthwhile.

What he fails to understand is that LBP is just a great for those who make levels as it is for those who don't.

I bought LBP day 1 and have not once made a level. I've still had great friend explor...

The way I read it, when bioware stated that ME would start and end on the 360, that meant that the trilogy would be completed during this generation of consoles. In other words, the relevance of that statement was that the next ME will not be coming out on the Xbox 720, nor the ps4 for that matter.

Unless there is an airtight contract with MS, I don't see why the wouldn't do it. There's a lot of demand for it actually. EA and Bioware have been actually rather cryptic in their sta...

I lived in a fraternity house where one of my brothers had a 360. He bought Mass Effect because of the high reviews and the high graphical quality. He played the game for 1 hour, put it down, and then didn't mention it again. I went into his room, saw it on his shelf and asked him how it was. He said he got bored in the first hour and didn't want to play anymore, so it sat on his shelf collecting dust for a few weeks before anyone was the wiser. I told him he was crazy and said that I know th...

Why don't you mention those in your inflammatory title, and not GOW. Besides, as an overall game, GOW is in an entirely different league. It should be compared to games like Darksiders or Dante's Inferno which incorporate platforming and puzzling elements. Let's be honest, Bayo, DMC and NG are more like Tekken/Soul Caliber in 3D action game form. GOW, DI and Darksiders are more like Zelda/Ratchet & Clank in grown up brawler form. The genres are quite distinctive. Though I wouldn't quite s...

Pachter did not claim to be a psychic who can read the hearts and minds of the developers at Epic.

He was speaking figuratively in so far as their pocket books/ investors regret having made such a deal. You realize he's a market analyst. All he cares about is money. When he says something will happen or something should happen it's not that he has inside information, it's that he's making a prediction about what would be the most profitable course of action from a business perspe...

Of this guy dissing MGS for being cartoony and childish and yet he has Halo in his name.

Halo is a great game, but if realism is your deal then you should be reping COD or Killzone. Obviously realism isn't necessarily what makes a game great. In fact, realism is one of the last things that makes a good game, as games exist so that we can escape reality, or artfully replicate it. In terms of artfulness or escapism, Splinter Cell certainly doesn't out do MGS. SC's good, but it's no...
