I love the argument that Microsoft isn't forcing you to buy it or just don't plug it in, ya know what? you are absolutely right BUT do you go through life spending extra money on things you don't need or want?
What Microsoft is doing is taking away my options as a consumer, it's the same thing if you went to buy a new car and the dealer said you will pay an extra thousand dollars for a color you don't want, take it or leave it or if you went to a restauran...

Microsoft has already said they will use the facial recognition in Kinect 2.0 to gauge your reaction to ads and such,they have filed patents to scan your livingroom to see how many people are sitting on your couch to charge for movies and such, what more proof do you need?
You want to rid me of my fears Microsoft? Then ship a Kinect free system and maybe I'll buy one.

I understand your passion about people's livelihood and I agree with it BUT like many 20-25+ year old businesses they refused to change their business model and continue using antiquated business practices.

1. I'd be too afraid they would go out of business before the console came out and I'd be out of my money.
2. I'd be too afraid they would go out of business withing the first year of me owning my console and something broke then I'd have refund/repair issues because the store was no longer there.
As I've said a few times I'm an avid 360 user (proof in my account) and I'm going solely with the PS4 for Next Gen, IMO Microsoft has lot their way and don't have the gamers interest at heart, I'm not supporting their vision of Next Gen.

I currently own both machines but mostly play on the 360 (for anyone that doubts me click on my account, you'll se I'm not a "Sony Fanboi" ) and I will not be touching the Xbox One with a 10 foot pole until Microsoft gets their heads firmly out of their @sses.
As I said with the Xbox One comes a lot of shadiness that I want nothing to do with.

I didn't understand how they can get away with changing up the policy on a 7 + year old console.

You are correct, I misspoke, allow me to elaborate, game development wise I meant, I'm kinda thinking unless they get some real talent back in there we are going to see sub-par offings like we did with GOW:J.
Fortnight was announced almost 2 years ago and we've seen or heard virtually nothing about it since.
As far as the unreal engine goes they are going to continue making a ton of money with that.

I think Epic as a company is about done as most of the real talent has left.

Yeah I get that too and I hate how you have to go page after page to get to the game forum you want, for example A-D covers a lot of games, if you want to look at something in the High D's you may have to go through 6-7 pages before you get to the game you want.
The old site had A.B.C.D and so, if I wanted some thing in the D's I just went to the D page.
I'm sorry but when you give a game a that isn't majorly broken 3.5 out of 10 you lose all credibility IMO.
I've played it for a few days now and it's easily in the 8 of 10 range.
Not really sure if I like the changes or not, IMO the site was fine a few years back until they really hosed it up, I hate the way they have the forums laid out.

OMG that was absolutely horrible, when I first watched it I thought they were showing other OLDER games leading up to the new one but what they were showing WAS the new one, man talk about last Gen graphics... Ughh.
