64 players has always been a staple in the battlefield franchise for the pc. I would EXPECT nothing less.
you must not have heard of Will Wright before.

Just bought it for my 2nd pc. Unbelievable price
PR to try and keep their stocks in check.
I see this pretty much as Nvidia saying "Don't spend the insane amount of cash for the cpu. Instead invest your money in the graphics dept. and go SLI"
It's not hard to figure out, once you break it down
"Buy a console instead of the PC and keep that for a few years.... "
If I bought a console now for gaming. I'd be taking quite a few steps backwards technology wise. Why do that when I can play Cod 4, Cod Waw, Fallout 3 completely maxed out already?
"If game is HALO then why do you expect KZ2 to beat it on sales? funny stuff. "
It makes perfect sense actually. The japanese are very well known to dislike shooters. this isn't about halo vs. kz2 sales imo. But about being the first western made shooter that japan embraces. So far it is safe to assume that won't happen this generation.
comment 1.6 is like a 2 ton gorilla sittin in the room. Darkride is just pretending he didn't see it.
Wow I almost believed him.
"And just as many games and a community as big"
Bigger...
actually.
online players always buy. Try out for yourself how horrible Hamachi is.
Go into any pc gamer forum and ask them what name brand pc they bought. Almost all of them will tell you to build one.
You don't get it.
You seem to think everyone on the pc can be lumped together and while this would help your argument if it were true. It's completely wrong.
The common pc user won't buy a pc for gaming and so they buy brand name. Then you have the pc gamer. The pc gamers that buy brand name are in the MINORITY. Almost all of them have...
Actually except for a few vocal ppl on n4g. PC gamers don't claim Crysis to be the best shooter out on the pc. But it's a good game. Seriously The dev's converse with the community and there's new maps/mods being released all the time. At one point pre-launch crysis. It was widely believed that the graphics for this game would make it one of the best shooters of all time.
It did decent but not what most expected.
In fact the same scenario happened with console gamer...
WAIT! according to n4g users. This is impossible! EVERYBODY knows it costs 2-4k to play Crysis on a pc
console gamers are to blame...it's cuz you idiots shell out the cash for crap games...(see halo, kz2, lbp (wtf? seriously??). Gears is decent but fun in coop. That and gladly paying to take the dildo named DLC up the arse. This is what's stalled gaming this generation.
The question is...After 3rd party dev's have seen first hand that putting years and years and 50 million into a game that received great reviews and praise. It'll be a decent seller at best. Why bust a$$ developing exclusively for ps3?
this games made for playing multiplayer. The lack of single player campaign makes it not even worth pirating...If this game's sales/pirated ratio is used in the future by developers as an explanation of why they are no longer making pc games. I wouldn't be upset. Most pc gamers need a reality check.
Ubisoft has never made a game that was on a favorites list of mine. Don't see it happening any time soon.
They make solid performers, don't get me wrong. But I've never been wow'd by an Ubisoft game.
I finished crysis on high that would cost a gamer about 500-600 to build today. my rig without the video card we be around 400ish. Throw in a gtx260 or hd4870 and it would cost under 600. (I'm running a hd3870 in case you wanna look up benchmarks to see how much faster those two cards are, compared to mine.)
What web site are you basing your price from? or are you just throwing out 5k, 4k, 3k, 2k...I guess it's 1.2k now. After awhile it's gonna be Well pc is slightly more expensi...
realism seems to be the kz2 gamers cup of tea. Every time I read the "kz2 controls blow" articles. The sony fans were screaming at how realistic it made it feel.
