I know you said console. I knew you'd actually try and use it should you decide to debate it. For far too long I've seen console fanboys on both sides either exclude the pc when it hurt their argument (like here) or use the pc as a crutch when 360/PS3 gets a game the other camp doesn't (i.e "I'll get it on the superior version lawl!")

BC2 and FF13 were the only games I was lookin forward to this month.
BC2 has more than exceeded my expectations. Finally got some eyecandy and a sweet MP
runnin a phenom II x4 940 overclocked to 3.6ghz and a 5870
can max out BC2 no sweat and avg around 100fps @1080p. I'm sure I save a few frames by disabling bloom but that's more of a personal preference. If you're building a pc strictly for gaming go Phenom II it's really high end performance at a sweet price. If your gonna be doing a lot of encoding, rendering, and gaming go I7.
I'm lookin at getting a third 3rd 24" 1080p monitor here soon for eyefinity. Words ...

very nice monitor. I play at 120hz and I average around 100fps. The gameplay at 100fps is insanely fluid. Iirc it's the only 120hz monitor thats 24" 2ms out right now
for pc games I can't see how retailers would retaliate. Most bix box stores have half a shelf of decent pc games nowadays.
Retailers need to somehow integrate themselves into the DD market themselves. Using a middleman like D2D, Steam, Impulse, GFW, EADL much like they would work with different vendors for material goods.
Oh nice then I have yet to see the final product.
As a tech geek I'm putting my ps3 fanboy hate to the side and checking out how much progress has been made with MLAA
The CPGPU's coming out in the next year or two I'm sure will most definately be taking advantage of this. Probably coded into DX11 when it becomes refined. Of course the real question on many people interested in technologies mind is how much frame rates it would eat up compared to regular AA.

not to bash GoW because I enjoyed the first one. I just got done playing the gow3 E3 demo and if they didn't change the AA in it then It's definately comparable to 4xAA.
I game on a 24" pc monitor 1080p native. Now on pc monitors if something is not running at native res its really really easy to spot flaws like jaggies, blurry colors, color artifacting. you can view a pic of my setup in my bio to show you that I'm not using cheap generic monitors.
