wow I would have thought that console gamers would have given up on seeing AAA games @ native 1080p this gen.
Maybe next-gen...or the one after. 1080p gaming this gen belongs to the pc. starting about 5 years ago.
"Precision and accuracy."
I'm not sure if you're aware but the mouse is not new....
well unless you're a console gamer.
"Very few homes would not already have a TV of some kind to connect a console"
this is where you come off as mis-informed. The 5770 comes with an HDMI port and most older computers have an S-video port while most older tv's have an S-video port.
Whatever you can hook up your console to. You can hookup your pc to.
add to the fact that console games are expensive. PC gaming is cheaper for people who like to buy games. Not to mention it does 100x...
its not obligatory if it's true =). It's more along the lines of pointing out the obvious
everyone's a self-serving schemer though...
When I go to work I sometimes think of ways to try and get overtime so that I can self-serve another video game or nifty upgrade for my pc.
that's actually great advice. M$ should have never continued to sell a product that was known to be faulty.
They jack the consumer $300 and you get on your moral high horse?
newegg, amazon, tiger direct
that's all I ever use. As of the moment TigerDirect is my goto parts store first because of bing cashback (get 10% back of whatever you buy from them in your paypal account).
I get charged tax from newegg now since I moved back to Cali but I still buy from them if it's something less than $100 as they won me over with their delivery times and customer service.
PC Gamers: The user base will thin and stop paying.
@bubbles
sounds like me and you are going to have extremely similar setups.
Phenom II x4 940 @ 3.6ghz
HD5870
6gb DDR2 800
750watt corsair PSU
though I run more than 1 HDD
Crysis is buttery smooth maxed out. I have yet to try Crysis Warhead but have played it and like it more than original crysis.
You'll notice insane differences in fps shooters. Because of the MW2 free weekend on steam I was able to properly make a co...
I just built a pc that maxes out bc2 @ 1080p averaging 60-70fps for a little less then $800.
I was very impressed with it and now I have a few more people (console gamers) that want the same setup. I'm gonna be very busy this month.
lol even the gimped version of CryEngine 2 puts console exclusives to shame.
CryEngine 2 truly is a modern marvel.
I hope they crash and burn. An example needs to be made on how you can be screwed when you deal with the devil.
nice screens. I think it's hilarious that a multiplat game has taken the graphics crown on consoles this gen.
they are really looking down on the CoD fanbase. but then again the CoD fanbase has to be the most exploitable group in the history of gaming.
I guess it would be easy to forget they are the consumer and see them as a herd of sheep.
Assassins creed 2 is also $60
In a sense we are partly to blame for the casuals jumping ship to the superior platform.
We were the ones that told them how easy and cheap it was to build a pc while posting tutorials on youtube.
charmers says it best but just to repeat the point.
It isn't the developer that makes the pc version of the game dominate visually (DA and BC2 being the exception).
It's your pc that's doing all the work.
uhhh
nobody I know has paid $60 for a pc game including me. nobody I know still hasn't bought mw2 for the pc either lol.
I keep my friends well informed.
Valve knows just how much midweek/weekend madness 50%-75% off drive sales. This won't become a standard
lol, look at the ps3 fanboys thinkin they can talk in the same room as pc gamers.
shouldn't you guys be in the backyard fighting over leftovers with 360 owners?
thread is hilarious
hellz yah.
Shooters are always fine by me. they are the only genre with any replayability this gen. Add hundreds of hours if it's online.
