a certain batch of ps3's sold last nov-dec had bluray drives with lower quality bluray reader diodes, that went bad around about a year. They have since fixed this problem. Mine was replaced for free and they gave me an extended 1 year warranty.
whatever you buy there, don't buy an extended warranty!

Microsoft has no choice in the matter. It is a format like a floppy , cd or a dvd. there is no argument. the next xbox WILL include a bluray drive.period.heck, you can even buy a brand new pc with a bluray drive in it!
