I am using a 2.5 7200 rpm drive 320 gigs with no problems for over 6 months. The 7200 is tested and approved and will actually cause load/install times to decrease up to 20 %.

Sony is run by the Japanese and not you. They do things in order of stability, not need or desire of the public. This is what separates them from the "other" company. Reliability . There are people working hard on the features we want most, so don't worry. They will be released when proven stable.

havok is only the physics engine. Lots of games use this physics engine because its very time consuming (expensive) to program for physics. Killzone 2 uses its own brand-new game engine built by the minds at guerrilla (with help from naughty dog, insomniac and Sony Santa Monica studios).
