there is a market for this and I'm sure Sony and MS will offer something way better than what Nintendo is doing. If successful this will force Nintendo into the hd arena, which I'm sure is what we all really want anyway. This is a good thing. I think some ps2 games look better than anything on the wii. Its not motion controlled or gimmicky like that , but it does have the BEST game library out of any console in recent history, and most of those games are available for dirt cheep as well....but on the other hand, it IS old, and its not exactly getting a lot of software support now...even if it is on par graphically with the wii...I just don't think of the ps2 as the wii's competition.
