Being a old company like Nintendo, hope they don't take trashing talking online too seriously.
There are currently no working ps3 emulator, as for ps2: even a overclock i5 take a hit sometimes. Sony have to recreate all of the features the ps3 had because of the new architecture.
I think the always online was in part due to cloud gaming. I believe what they try to do is, if a small cluster of gamers playing the same game within a certain distance will gain performance in their game.
Azure will have to split the data between each system to combat the bandwidth and latency. Each console will be like a mini server.

Wonder if they will use some of the CUs on the GPU to lighten the load on the CPU.
Same thing as doing remakes for movies. As long the intended buyer is satisfied with his/her purchase, I don't see what is wrong with HD Remakes.
As for BC, it would require a whole new design to get it up and running. You would need the CPU's of past gen to be installed onto the MB.
Emulation is also a problem since there is no CPU available to mimic the Cell processor.
Probably gonna be like FFX with LR gameplay mechanics.
Make a cross between Road Warrior and Reign of Fire, and you will have one BADASS GAME.
I can understand somewhat because I play LOL, and smite on a regular bases. Smite offering a god pack that includes all the current gods, aswell as upcoming gods for only $30.
There are alot of good F2P games, just depends on how long you want the game to last.
Stop making games for the PS3 would be bad. How are you going to sustain that 80+ million fanbase long enough for them to make the transition into next gen?
Its more about the Brand loyalty, with their favorite slogan "10 years life expectancy" consumers will know that even after the PS4 is launch they can still expect life out of the PS3, which gives a more secure feeling.
Mantle is for programmers who are trying to develop games on the PC and get console like optimization. Therefore consoles don't need mantle because Dev's can already program straight to the metal.
They just snatch up Connie Yu, can't wait to see how their game looks.
I was thinking the same thing. These 2 titles hold alot of power in persuading the public. If either game failed to deliver that next gen feeling, I think it will be a rough road ahead.
Isn't it kind of risky to launch it the same month as Infamous Second Son?
Sony mostly use the word of mouth to spread their message.
Q: So how does “temporal reprojection” work and what’s the difference with up-scaling?
Up-scaling is a spatial interpolation filter. When up-scaling an image from one resolution to another, new pixels are added by stretching the image in X/Y dimension. The values of the new pixels are picked to lie in between the current values of the pixels. This gives a bigger, but slightly blurrier picture.
Temporal reprojection is a technique that tracks the position of ...
Its going to be hard for the Wii U to compete against 2 consoles. They had a year head start and did nothing with it. I think they have a slim chance on making a comeback, but now the PS4 and XBox One are taking center stage.
Shu told us about there is no difference already. Hopefully this will help with the glare issue some are experiencing.
