i thought just as everyone, there would be much more loyal sonyfans that would give the ps3 a huge push the first year and completely dominate. But as we still MS still has more than double consoles sold in the U.S.... and like I said, if Sony cant push sales past the 360 with GT, GTA4 and Blu-Ray in one month, then take that as a sign of things to comes.

Look at my comment below, if PS3 cant beat the 360 with its biggest and best selling heavy hitters from last gen, GT and GTA4 and dont format blu-ray, all in one month, then what excuses are left?

if Sony could push sales with this winning formula:
1. format winner - blu-ray
2. GTA4 - PS2 best selling franchise, #1, #3, and #4 best selling games on ps2
3. and GT - another ps2 top-selling franchise, #2 & #5 best selling games on ps2
i think its safe to assume the 360 will beat ps3 this generation in the U.S. but not Europe or Japan. Come next generation, America's brand Xbox will lead in the Entertainment division of Video games, same way...

but since they cleary said they couldn't for legal issues, now this game is something different aimed at competing against LittleBigPlanet. If thats the case, i dont care about user generated vehicles or levels, but LBP looks better.
Rare should at least put more time in with the graphics, maybe a better lighting engine or something.

your right, MGS4 may seem better because it has a bigger fanbase, but past SC games have always been AAA with high ratings. ANd I did forget Socom, a PSN game... hardly the Socomm 4 everyone is waiting for but I did forget the GTA4 DLC too.

ps3 does NOT have the AAA better lineup as some had said, maybe it would have if KZ2, FF, or GT (the game, not the demo) was released this year.

i was very disappointed by the graphics and the gameplay.
i was hoping for a true sequal with gameplay that feels familiar to Mario games and graphics at least on par with PS3's Ratchet.
oh well.
as a big 360 supporter and someone that has played and loved banjo games on N64, this game doesn't feel the same. Emphasis too much on vehicles.... wasn't it supposed to have gameplay like Mario?!!?
and the graphics....hate to admit it, but Ratchet did look better. much better actually. (dammit)

MASS MARKET price is $200, its the proven sweet spot where the biggest spike in sales in ALL consoles have occured in the past. MS will be at that sweet spot this year with the arcade.
and i will say this and hope you listen, you DO NOT neet blu-ray for gaming!! and you do NOT need HDD for gaming (at least not this gen).

umm... where have you been the last three years? not only is xbox is the lead with the highest rated exclusives but it also took sony best selling franchise and not only sold more on the 360 and secured the exclusive DLC, but the game even runs better then the "juggernaut" PS3 which was released one year later.
its funny how nobody noticed that the 360 version of GTA4 is rated higher than the ps3 version.
