PS3 is getting killed in sales, and games, whether multi-plat or exclusives, sell better on the 360.
Sony is losing money on each console sold, while MS and Nintendo are making money.
but, even I know, Sony isn't the loser here because they still won what was really important for them, the formet war..... so when 2009 disappoints, just as 07 and 08 did, AT LEAST, you always have your blu-ray player ready to pl...

haha... unlike the ps3 and their flops that didn't sell (socom, LBP, and ReFOM2) the 360 had plenty of games (competition) that sold well, Fable 2, Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3, and Banjo.
And when I say Gears 2 is the peoples champ, it's because it's the follow up to 2006 GOTY, and the most wanted game this holiday season, and the best selling exclusiv...

@ pansenbaer - it's one thing to say it's the best game you play this year, but another thing when someone says its the best game they played this gen when they don't own all the next gen consoles.

Gears 2 is peoples champ as proven with sales. (it will be the best selling exclusive of 08)
GTA4 is the critically acclaimed champ as proven by the review scores.
MGS4 is the PS3 sony fans champ, as proven by great sales and reviews.

That was meant as a compliment. Sony is a winner because of blu-ray. Blu-ray is the next dvd, we all know this, so even if Sony is losing now, they will more than make it up with fiture blu-ray royalties. Even i'm waiting to get my Chase credit card (so i can be eligible to $150 off a sony product of $299 or more) so i can get my ps3...... for the blu-ray of course ( and KZ2 looks amazing )

Your right, i seriously doubt MS will be using DVD9 again for their next format.
But my point is that they do not have to use blu-ray.
As much as I would like them to, they don't need to use blu-ray.
here's why.
- Nintendo Wii proved a system can be a success without having dvd movie playback function. Thus the next xbox can be solely a game console, like the Wii.
- MS can easily go with the hd-dvd format, which will probably be cheap as sh1t by then to avoid paying expensive royalties to Sony and keep the price of the next Xbox down.
- And by the time the next xbox comes ...
Xbox exclusives sell more than ps3 exclusives. FACT (wait till the year is over and you will see how Gears beats MGS4 in sales)
Multi-plat sell better on 360. FACT
So why all the crying?

Like you at the time, I was big on PC gaming, but I also had the Dreamcast, and then upgraded to Xbox and also bougt a Gamecube for the Nintendo exclusives.
they want everyone to believe it's coming to 360.... when it's probably not.

compared to Nov 07, all three of there consoles sold considerable less. And thats with their so called heavy hitters that came out in the month of Nov.
so NO, i don't think they are doing "well"... but to each their own.
