No it's not. It's objectively three times as powerful as the next competitor and 2.3 times as powerful as the base PS4. That's objectively a bargain for essentially the same money.
Honestly...it's 50!!! Dollars more....50, for the 1TB model. Everyone who states this is not worth it has serious mental problems.
VR is already going mainstream. Yet I agree on room scale systems. PSVR is for a seated experience where the cords are hardly a problem.
It will be at least two generations until widescreen and eye tracking will be a thing.
