BotW was/is an masterpiece so the delay was easily justified. Of course the delay was a bit extreme but the Switch version of that game is in many people's opinion in contest for a "game of a decade" title. Not quite that good in my opinion but still easily the best game on any Nintendo system in years.
FFXV: Haven't played enough to give my definite judgement but based on my progress so far and what I've heard of the game, it's a solid FF entry. ...
this has to be the most immature comment I've read in a long time.
It is all common sense and there's nothing wrong with them doing this. People just love to spin every possible story to blame and hate Activision/Blizzard.
I don't want to support milking either. But I genuinely feel that Overwatch was and still is an amazing new IP from Blizzard. I don't mind that the competitive mode is "all about the meta". I feel that's the way it should be, especially now that Blizzard is really active and does frequent game balance patches so the meta stays fresh all the time. And currently there isn't any dominant meta but a lot of viable ones so from game balance point of view Overwatch has NEVE...
Whut? I mean maybe some have, many years ago, but Fortnite is not really competitor for Overwatch. But there are two games that a lot of former OW players have migrated to. Those are Valorant and Apex. Apex is going all the time more towards OW direction and luring in OW fanbase. Battle roayle concept is the only major difference and Apex recently released a new non-BR game mode. Valorant is basically a copy of Overwatch that plays like CS.
I'm a massive fan of many Blizzard games (Overwatch and Diablo series) but I'm not a fan of the company anymore. Activision has really ruined them. And now Activision is trying to ruin (over-monetize) even the last good Blizzard franchises. That's why OW director Jeff Kaplan left the company after 20 years of service. I love Overwatch because they were operating on this own island inside Blizzard without too much Activision influence. But things are changing. Activision wants to b...
OW2 is easily the biggest game for me coming out in "near" future (hopefully next year). I'm sure the player base will grow substantially when that happens. Blizzard has quite healthy pipeline for sure: OW2, Diablo 2 Resurrected and Diablo 4. Things will certainly look much better for them in 1-2 years. But as of right now, they haven't released anything interesting IN YEARS!!! It's no wonder that the player base has been shrinking.
There is a way to keep current intensity level while allowing gamers to pause their progress mid run and shut down their console in order to continue later: Create a save system that allows player to continue but not to load back to that state. Meaning that the system would delete the save file immediately after resuming the play. This way you would still need to do all in one run but at the same time you don't need to be stressed about "not having time to finish my run".
Try to reason with N4G and see the downvotes pouring in. Not only they are marketing the sequel here but also most likely they are growing the owner-base because they plan to release a PS5 upgrade patch that won't be free (same than what was done with THPS 1-2).
I also love Sony for giving me this masterpiece for free. But for god's sake why people are treating billion dollar companies like their big brother who they look up to. I'm 35 and been a fan of Sony pr...
Absolutely. After almost 20 years with Blizzard and he has only few words to say. Sounds like there was a big vision difference between Jeff and higher ups/investors. I bet investors were rushing the development schedule of OW2 but Jeff didn't want to compromise the game quality. He loves Overwatch way too much to do that. There is still a lot of amazing and experienced talent in Overwatch development team (Aaron, Geoff, etc.) but losing Jeff Kaplan is a HUGE blow.
Integrity yes, but I still consider them (well at least OW team) to be very creative. What they showed about OW2 in recent Blizzcon was nothing but amazing. Losing Jeff is a big loss for the community however and might be a bad signal: maybe there is some trouble with the development at the moment.
WTF are you talking about man? Overwatch has NEVER been in a better place when it currently is. The game is very well balanced at the moment. A lot of different team compositions are viable. Heck, every single hero was played during Overwatch league opening weekend. That's unheard of. No single hero is clearly overtuned. Of course some heroes will have higher pickrates than the others. That's how completely normal. But Blizzard has done excellent job during the past year or so when it...
It's great to get the triple A game and expansion for free. I haven't yet played the game so I will surely at least try it out (open world games are not usually my thing but this one might be an exception).
However you guys cannot be that naive to think that Sony is doing charity here. Horizon is hardly selling any new copies anyways so giving it away for free will only benefit them:
- Improves the image of Playstation in general = fan service.
-...

Not sure but the way how author described dual sense usage got me sold! I'm gonna pick this up as soon as my PS5 arrives. I pre-ordered the console 3rd of October but the supplier still doesn't have an estimation when my console arrives. :(
Fully agreed. It will be interesting to see who they manage this project though as it's way more ambitious than their previous indie-type games. It's on the grey area between indie and triple-A productions. I'm sure they'll deliver but I also hope that this will be a commercial success so we could see even bigger projects from them in the future.
That name takes me way back to my childhood. Thomas Puha was reviewing games for Pelit ("Games") and Peliasema ("PlayStation") magazines in the 90s. Those were the days.
What 5 Zelda games you would list above BOTW? Honestly I guess it's all opinions but I cannot understand why BOTW wouldn't be top 5. It's an amazing game on it's own. Some Zelda purists love to hate it because it is missing some classic Zelda elements. But imo it's an amazing game on it's own even without considering it as a Zelda game and a better game overall than Immortals (which is a great game too).
First one was a great game but it’s very outdated already and not just in terms of graphics. The game was a pioneer game but all the aspects very really basic on today’s standards including (including level design). Remaster wouldn’t help that much. D2 on the other hand is simply better on every single aspect so the remaster makes sense,
Game is not unbalanced. It's in it's best shape ever. All heroes (minus Bastion) are viable. Matchmaking has some issues, especially on less popular regions. I believe this cross-play was introduced partially to tackle these matchmaking issues.
I know OW is not as relevant as it used to be but still don't hate it for the wrong reasons. Major reason why OW is losing players currently is not balance but rather lack of content. New heroes haven't been introduc...
