Snip:
"But while the Xbox One version effortlessly maintains the same frame-rate, the image quality is perceptibly worse, sporting a softer, jaggier look that carries all the hallmarks of a game upscaling from a sub full-HD resolution."
"The differences between the two versions will come as great concern to Microsoft. Just as it appears to be regaining traction from its fumbling Xbox One campaign, the revelation that at least one of next-gen’s ...
My god, this is going to be one of the best Castlevanias ever made. I knew the white-haired dude had to be who I thought he was. That box art is seriously beautiful.
Sounds like anything that wins GOTY and isn't Xbox exclusive is overrated to you. Not a surprising comment from you really, when especially when you have no 1st parties that win GOTY.
1280x720 is the actual pixel count, so yeah actually, it is 720p overall. Do you know what upscaled means? The keyword is stretch. Misinformed indeed.
Buying the game just to see those fragmentation grenades in action. My god, talk about fancy.
I think the thermite rifle is the only weapon here that we've caught an in-game glimpse of.

Notice how whatever he's shooting at isn't even visible. They're hiding those enemies pretty well, lol.
Find a single Killzone: Shadow Fall preview that backs up your biased claim about "horrible stuttering frame rate". If you can't, then you know it's time to stop posting. (spoiler: you won't)
The God of War games are known for their super smooth frame rate, and guess what? They're variable 30-60. The more you know.
You could also bet Battlefield 4 isn't locked at 60fps either.
"Contrary to what I thought the single player mode isn't locked to 30 but varies from 30 to 60, so I've encoded a 60 fps version of the video!"

That's the Black Hand class. I guess this is the area in the game where they first come in.

Those fully destructible walls, man. @ 2:50
So the frame rate varies between 60 and 30 in single player, while being 1080p native and undoubtedly being the best looking console game of 2013.
Nice job on your first PS4 game, Guerrilla. Imagine they would have had more time with it.
My god if there were dinosaurs in Battlefield it'd be the greatest FPS of all time. Still waiting for Primal Carnage: Genesis gameplay reveal on PS4!

Killzone is a Sony IP.
Halo is a Microsoft IP.
TitanFall is Respawn's IP, and was meant to release on PS4. EA controls it like they developed it, not telling Respawn what's going on with their own IP.
Big difference all around, your comment makes no sense.
It's disgraceful that EA decided this on their own without even telling Respawn. It was meant to be a timed exclusive, and for EA to go behind their backs like rats and not tell them something as big as this (for money) is probably going to stir up trouble now between Zampella and EA.

Lol Unholy One having a really bad day.
TitanFall is stuck at 720p too.
I know this headline is going to seem weird to some, but consider this:
- Killer Instinct is a basic fighting game with two fighters on screen. Stuck at 720p.
- COD: Ghosts is probably the ugliest next gen shooter we've seen so far. Stuck on 720p on Xbone (PS4 is at 1080p).
- Battlefield 4, while 900p on PS4, is 720p on Xbone.
- Ryse had to be downgraded to maintain 30fps/900p on Xbone.

"How did Respawn end up in a position to be blindsided with this kind of news by its own publisher? According to Respawn's contract with EA, while Respawn owns the Titanfall IP, EA has exclusive publishing rights to Respawn's titles. Technically, it seems that EA had the right to work out this exclusivity deal independent of Respawn. Still, it wasn't a nice move, nor was it a smart way to do business with a successful and outspoken developer like Zampella. It's clear from...
I've seen PS4 games with better in-game graphics than this CGI.
And the dedicated servers card fails you once more.
