Well regret is a feeling that is made by way of a choice. So you could miss out on a billion dollars and not regret it. If that's how you feel anyway. You did use the term so far though so can't get ya on that one :) enjoy the way you choose to play that's what its about.
Honestly I hope one way to game is never the future because competition has done nothing but give us the best games. Everyone has different needs and wants for the way and how they game plus preference. So I hope the gaming space remains as ever diverse has it ha thus far.
Honestly my experience with the last two games prior to this one is exactly why I am not picking it up. I mean I dropped 80 on Forza 5 to go all in. An turn around like a week later an there was already a 9.99 dlc which comes out every month until the next one.

Free DLC hahahaha have you met Bungie lately. Let me rephrase that for ya allegedly free dlc. Which as of currently no one has the first clue about. Initial buy in 60 to 80 depending on the version you got. Then 34.99 or 20 bucks each for what was arguable small repetitive dlc especially house of wolves. An then right at the end another $40 and introduction of micro transactions.
This company with Activision behind it ain't about to give up nothing good for free.

I wouldn't say most devs but larger games definitely take some serious time to complete. I just think the issue is that most gamers are not used to hearing about a game during its inception. An the other thing with this game in particular. I think most people understand it won't be fully complete any time soon. I think most people are just looking for those promised mile stones to sink their teeth into.
An yet in all those games you just you mentioned. I have peronsally seen significant lag in every single one of them. An yet I have never had an issue with mp in any of the Uncharted games. So people acting like dedicated servers all but eliminates lag are full of it.
I've never had the problem with the multiplayer prior to this an I doubt I will now. Some people commenting on here haven't even played the series to begin with. An the other half don't know the first thing about networking. Dedicated servers does not guarantee some god send experience with no lag not even close. I have played plenty of games on PC that had dedicated servers with my 130mb connection an still had lag.

My thoughts pretty much exactly with Destiny. I've put in plenty of time helping out friends an the sort. Though the only reason my time adds up the way it does is because the way the pve is designed. Almost every pve system they have put in even if you are flawless. Makes you have to spend a considerable amount of time usually doing variations of the same thing POE especially. So Destiny is one title where I don't particular equate time spent to fun unlike most games.

The thing with CDPR is that the game was larger then like 98% of those games to begin with. An although you may have finished it a lot of people haven't. The content it shipped with is larger then most games after they are done with dlc and more compelling at that. An the Exapansion they are releasing which is again larger then most companies have even come close to. Should be well worth it for people who love the game, Unlike a lot of the boring dlc we see today.
There are companies that have given away larger dlc's but could just as easily be guilty of same tactics of holding said dlc. I've often seen games give plenty of free dlc but then turn around an released extremely over priced dlc right behind that. Dlc with a price tag they know good and well is not worth the price. Then they use the but we gave you free dlc excuse as to why you shouldn't complain about the price.

I think for a lot of people its not just the DLC from CD Project. Its more so the fact that on top of an already larger more compelling content filled game then most. Its just icing on an already amazing cake.

A lot of people get seem to get confused with not caring about a particular exclusive mixed up with. Automatically associating it with being jealous or butt hurt because you don't share their enthusiasm for the same titles. Just because I don't particularly like what I see from a particular title doesn't mean I'm downplaying it I just don't want said game.
