For a spin-off, I think it's a good idea to do a multiplayer focused game. However, yes the lack of NPCs could make the quests uninteresting.
I thought the graphics look quite good for an open world game. Just from a visuals perspective, I didn't think it was that far off from something like Cyberpunk.

Well this has been a bad generation, if that's the case. The story direction is great, but the gameplay is nothing special.
You must have been disappointed with literally every entry this generation, then... It makes no sense to buy them just for the campaign, when there are far better single player offerings elsewhere.
Lol so they've made multiplayer components to their game in the past, the first trailer hinted at possible coop, the game did end up having it... and you assume that they were actually told to shove it in half way through development? If Microsoft did force it in, it would have been agreed by both parties when they made their contract... so that wouldn't be an excuse for Platinum.

More fans than that were disappointed with the cancellation. Yes, there were fanboys, and a few people who didn't care about the game in the first place. But most were disappointed.

Microsoft showed around twice the amount of PS4 games than Sony did... so even for people who only have a PS4, the Xbox conference was arguably still the better watch. The pacing and format were painfully bad. As a show, the Sony one just wasn't enjoyable to sit through.
