Yeah great where's Half-Life 3?
You didn't lose anything, yet you seem rather pissed off over it. Can't handle the fact that PS4 users were generally for cross-play? That's rather sad.
PSN got hacked last gen, Microsoft had every right to have security concerns. They also charged for online, whereas PSN was free. Could you imagine the outrage if Xbox 360 users were suddenly paying to play on the same servers as PS3 users? Now that PSN has better security and is subscription based like Xbox Live, Microsoft has no reason to deny it... and they're actually pushing for it across all platforms.
Sony didn't make much of an effort to push for it.
And hey that's fair enough. Just know that when you see the first great view in the game, potentially a sunset, looking over the landscape while on horseback on a mountain... that it looks better on Xbox One X.
Playstation fanboys liked spreading this sort of stuff all the time before the X released... so I have no issue doing the same now, especially since there's a more significant difference between the X and Pro than base models.
Unless it looks better on the X. I'll take better visuals over early 30-day access to a multiplayer map or two.
105GB? That's already right up there with the largest PS4 games, and it doesn't even account for patches or add-ons.
Thanks for updating your comment to clarify what you meant. Sony should hire you as their lead marketer, you convinced me to buy at least eight more PS4s... That way I can get that complete pyramid look.
I'm not talking about Shadow of the Colossus, I clearly said I'm talking about things like God of War 3 and the Uncharted "multiplayer removed" collection. You call those remakes?
Backwards compatibility is a great feature, and it will be even better if both PS5 and the next Xbox are compatible with all current gen games. Be all and end all? That would be overly dramatic, but it doesn't change that it's a great feature, or that it's well imple...
@ShadowWolf
Some people will benefit from crossplay, developers want it, and from the sounds of it, it requires little from Sony's end to implement. Sony didn't have any real reason not to allow it, which is why they made this positive move. You don't have to "lose" something for it to be an anti-consumer decision.
So based on this, it would be an anti-consumer decision. Even if it would be a very minor "offence" (for lack of a bette...
@Shikoku
PSN got hacked last gen, so MS would have had security concerns over it. Xbox Live required a subscription, PSN didn't, so that would have put them in a bad light. Now that PSN is more secure and subscription-based, Microsoft has no reason to deny it. Sony didn't really make much of an effort to make it happen last gen either, from my understanding.
@bluefox755
Obviously Sony, MS and Nintendo would be losing out on profits for their games,...
No one begged, they merely stated how anti-consumer it is. However, Sony made a good decision here... No one is negatively affected, yet there are people who will benefit from it. No one loses anything.
Surrendered? Even if you personally don't benefit from it, there are those who will. It doesn't detract from anyone whatsoever, so I reckon only crybaby fanboys will complain.
It will certainly benefit games with lower userbases, no one can deny that.
Apart from exclusives, the PS4 does nothing better than the Xbox One. Wouldn't Sony ALSO be a fairly average company at this point, if it weren't for PS4? They've made more mistakes than Microsoft as a company.
It's hard for me to pledge full loyalty towards a company that claims no one wants to play older games, while forcing people who ALREADY own these games, to buy them again on PS4. Meanwhile on Xbox One... if you own it, you don't need to buy it ag...
Yeah I'm against this, I don't want to have to put up with toxic Sony cultists passing themselves off as "gamers". Don't even know why they'd play Fortnite, I thought only exclusives count as games to them.
Oh, they added a BTB playlist for the other three games, just played rounds from 1, 2 and 4. I assume that means Halo 3 BTB is favoured enough by the community to warrant being separated from the other three.
You played one match and quit, why's that? I find it works much better now.
Haha I think that's what most people do. They should have tried releasing complete, non-episodic games. Detroit proved they can be very successful.
Sounds like Episode 2 will be the last... Not 100% confirmed though.
That's hard to take. Hopefully Borderlands 3 makes the Tales characters significant enough where we won't necessarily need it.
I recently played both the first crackdown in 4K, and the new Spider-Man. Crackdown had much better gameplay in my opinion, so here's hoping Crackdown 3 can be a heavy upgrade to that.
It will also be interesting to see how the multiplayer is, after all that destructibility hype. I know it's been said that it's still there, but it would be good to see.
