Good value for the Japanese, this is the same day as 6 titles go Platinum, so I would expect to see a pick up in software sales too.

360 is not dead in Japan, it will be 3rd by a long way, but it has found an audience. JRPG and SHUMP gamers. That is a good niche market that is definitely sustainable.
I wish that was true, the Wii and DS are selling by the bucket load over hear.
Although both 360 and PS3 have good sales, UK gamers tend to be early adopters of new technologies
I can't understand why everyone is so fascinated by this story. The whole industry is about copying each other and trying to improve on what has gone before.

PS3 fanboys have made a big deal in the past that 360 could not beat their machine at all, well it looks like it is going to be 6 weeks on the trot in Japan.
As a 360 owner I know this is only a small achievement, if an unexpected one and that it is highly unlikely that MS will be able to continue this.

No one is bragging about anything, 360 has had a good increase in sales. Obviously from a very low base.
Yes it is funny to see PS3 owners ranting in the past 5 weeks, but do you seriously think any 360 owners think that it is going to be anything but third in Japan.
It is good in my opinion that MS has a sustainable user base in Japan as it brings Japanese developers to the the machine, plus Sony will have to work harder on their games and it should mean better PS3 ga...

Community games are going to give the 360 a massive advantage over the other machines. Everyone keeps forgetting about XNA games, they do so at their peril.

Why would a developer chose at platform as it's lead console knowing it will sell less copies on that console.
