There are NPCs, just no human NPCs. Robots, terminals and found holotapes will give you quests.

There is nothing "massive" about Fallout 76. At the most, it will have 36 people on a very large map, 4 times the size of Fallout 4's map.

Smolinsk, Foxtrot,
You two are hopeless. I have answered several of your comments that are based in nothing factual and provided facts to counter them from Bethesda and you two still don't get it. You just want to hate on Fallout 76 for the sake of hating on it. So either educate yourselves, or just STFU.

I assume since they did not make a distinction between the different versions and there are no actual "servers" pm our end. It's just a private session that you can invite friends to.
So wait until they implement the private server option after launch. Instant co-op.
Wow, you are just eat up miserable with hate, aren't you? I find it hilarious that you can't grasp the idea that maybe Bethesda supports both single player and multiplayer games. Just because they did a video showing their support of single player games at a time when all the "journalists" were predicting the end of single players games doesn't mean that they were ever going to make only single player games. Jumping to that kind of conclusion is showing really poor ju...
The only thing good about any of these "battle royale" games and modes is it is a nice attractive bait to all the shit-lickers and trolls and it keeps them busy and away from the better games and modes. Otherwise it's just another passing fad that will be dead by next gen.
There are NPCs, just no human NPCs.
Fallout 76 releases November 14th, 2018. Starfield and ES6 are so far down the road there isn't much point in thinking about it.
@AuToFiRE
Fallout 76 is not an MMO, at most, it will be 36 players on a map. That sort of takes the "Massive" out of MMO.
Cons..
1) I doubt many people who have no internet play many online games. So while it may disappoint some, it's simply a case of this game not being made for them.
2) It remains to be seen.
3) There is a story and non one has any idea if the quests are "poor" or not.
4) I don't even understand this one, it's the same price as most other AAA titles on release.
5) Meh, it's...
Next it will be called a "disease" and they will say those afflicted by it "can't help it".
Shrinks could save a lot of time if they just kick most of their patients in the taint and tell them to grow the hell up.
It's a beta and no, I haven't paid for it. I preorder on Amazon, which means I don't pay until the game ships. If I like the beta, I may keep the preorder. If I don't, then I will cancel the preorder and never pay a dime.
Meh, this doesn't really bother me since it will probably only be a couple days, a week at most that the Xbox gets it early. I normally do not like these sort of deals but Bethesda has always been a supporter of the Xbox consoles, possibly due to Microsoft's support of Morrowind which could have helped prevent BGS' extinction. As long as they don't pull any "the best version is on ______ console" nonsense, I can wait a few extra days to play the beta. It's onl...
The "private server" bit won't be in the game at launch, it is supposed to come later.
The nukes are the key to the higher end content as it levels up all the monsters in it and has rare resources. It's not just an offensive weapon, though it will obviously be used as such. But honestly, your settlement disappears when you log out, and you never know what server or instance you are going to load into and with only a few dozen players on the map, it's...
I can't disagree that it's a polarizing idea and there isn't really any way to make everyone happy. The people who really wanted Fallout 5 are going to be upset no matter what. Others will hate on it because to them it's pushed Elder Scrolls 6 back a bit. Some want PvP, but want a game more like ARK or Rust or whatever, while some want more of a co-op experience but with all the nuance and details of a single player game. So far, I don't think anyone has yet been able ...
You are seeing what you want to see, just like you always do. Just pass on the game if it triggers you that bad.
You really need to do more research. What you build is tied to your character. When you leave, your stuff leaves. When you sign in, your stuff appears. If you have built in the same location as someone else, whomever signs into that particular instance first has their buildings placed while the second player has their stuff "packed up" in their inventory. As I understand it, your "settlement" can be placed anywhere at that point with just a click and you don't hav...
Todd said you can play "SOLO", he never said "single player".
Iron Maiden would probably care if they knew they were using their album cover.
