Sadly there are a lot of choices for this answer, DICE, Valve, and many others. I am going to have to go with the gigantic elephant in the room and say Bethesda. Their latest mess with Fallout 76 is a new low.

I'll have to go with Nolan North. Yes, he's in everything so it's an easy choice, but I believe he is in high demand because he is good at what he does.

Whomever does the VO work for Rico Rodriguez in the Just Cause games. I can't shake the feeling that it's the same guy who did the Taco Bell dog commercials.

I am going to just say the developer instead of a specific designer as there are many and I don't think the info I am able to find is up to date. There is even some fan designed content as well. My choice are the designers of Warframe at Digital Extremes. There are so many different styles that all seem to mesh pretty well into the huge world that DE has created for Warframe. DE as a whole has been very underrated, in my opinion, but there is a lot to be said of the design of the game...

It's been 3 years and there are still major issues that have been ignored in favor of cranking out new DLC. I doubt anyone at Wildcard is working on patches for ARK now that they have a new game in development.

"By ARK standards..." Lol, that is funny as hell. I play ARK on PC with most of the graphics maxed out and I feel like I am going blind looking at the Switch version. It's like putting on glasses smeared with bacon grease and trying to see though that. Not that the PC version runs great, but it does look a lot better. It's not a fair comparison, but one that needs to be made.

The loading times have always been an issue with ARK, even on PC. I typical...

I don't mind Valve having a bit more competition, but really there already is a lot of competition out there, just none to match Steam one on one. I don't like monopolies anymore than the next guy, but I am tired of having a dozen launchers on my computer. I have games through Steam, Origin, Twitch, as well as other services I have to keep up with to download games like GoG, GamersGate, GreenMan, D2D, and the list goes on. I've been buying games online for almost two decades. ...

There are a lot of them out there. GamersGate, Direct2Drive still exists somewhat under GameFly, GreenMan Gaming, and probably more I can't remember or am not aware of.

Cliff Bleszinski. I just don't get the hype, or the ego.

I'll have to go with Hideo Kojima. The characters in the Metal Gear series are both interesting and memorable and have only gotten better over the years.

This will get a bunch of hate, but my choice is Cayde-6 from the Destiny games. He is one of the most annoying characters I have ever encountered. It probably doesn't help that I can't stand his voice actor, but I don't think I would like the character much more if someone else had voiced him. I know he is supposed to be some sort of comic relief, but in the end he is just annoying and pointless.

Mattias Nilsson, the wise-cracking Swede from the Mercenaries games. His dead-pan humor in the face of massive explosions and overwhelming odds is as much his trademark as his vest, mohawk and tattoos. If Vikings existed today, they would probably look like Mattias Nilsson.

R.I.P. Pandemic Studios

Burn in Hell EA.

Similar to my answer to yesterday's question, I am going to go with simulation games once again. More and more simulation games have been getting attention when in the past they were just a niche PC genre that few cared about. Now we have games like Farming Simulator 19 coming to consoles and seeming to do fairly well. To take another question's answer, VR is a huge leap forward for simulations and there is so much potential to make that great. Sim games will never be as popular a...

@L7CHAPEL,

I didn't say anything bad about Keighley, just that he has a pretty big ego, which is well documented. But many people in the public eye do have a good bit of ego, and it takes a bit of that and charisma to pull off the sorts of things he does. It's not a bad or good thing, it's just part of his personality. But you can easily tell by the stupid grin on his face right after the "big three" left the stage that he was immensely proud of him...

Yeah, if you look at their body language, it's clear none of them were very comfortable and if I were to judge based on body language alone, I'd say they don't really like each other. That "moment" looked to be thrown together at the last second by Keighley and for his amusement alone. The look on his face after that spot looked like he was about to go into ego arrest. That wasn't a "we all stand together" moment, that was a "we are all humoring Kei...

The entire show was ridiculous and so full of cringe-worthy moments that I would be very embarrassed if a non-gamer friend or family member saw it. The only thing about it I found interesting or informative was that the Fortuna update for Warframe is releasing Monday on consoles. That's all I got for 3 hours of pure fucking cringe.

Everyone keeps comparing this to Fallout, but to me it felt a lot more like Borderlands.

I have always enjoyed simulation style games. I know, I know, they aren't "mainstream" and are hardly on consoles at all aside from a few racing games, but a good simulation can be a lot of fun if you are the right kind of player. From the traditional flight sim where you can fly around the world in a variety of aircraft to trucking sims where you can, well, you drive a truck. I enjoy games with all kinds of switches and knobs that actually do things. Train sims where you ha...

Yeah, this sounds like another FC4/Primal deal where they are just reusing the same map. Only this time they have a sort of good excuse, but it still seems like it should be an expansion to the original game instead of it's own deal. At $40 it's still cheaper than a full game, but my first reaction is that this will be a shallow cash grab. I'll withhold judgement until it comes out, but for now I am very skeptical and will probably wait for a sale.

Microtransactions. I don't think I really need to say anymore.
