Out of the 7 major Fallout games released so far, 4 of them are in the Western US and 3 of those take place in California in varying degrees. Bethesda is based in Maryland and seems to like the East Coast better. With those two details, it seems another West Coast Fallout may not be a priority, though I do know they did look at San Francisco at one point.
It's definitely cool and I have to admit I've done a few Google searches for stuff mentioned in the various videos about Fallout 76. I've lived a few miles across the state line in Virginia, but have been to WV more times than I can count and have some distant family there. It's cool to see places that I have been to in real life like The Greenbrier resort and I'm pretty sure the bridge in one shot was the New River Gorge Bridge. Using local myths and legends for the cr...
I find it hilarious how many people are jumping on the "not my fallout" bandwagon and complaining about various aspects when they know next to nothing about the game and many of their complaints and comments have not factual basis at all.
Before you hate on Fallout 76, watch the NoClip documentary, do a little research, watch a couple interviews with Todd Howard and Pete Hines and see what they are actual saying the game is like instead of jumping to baseless conc...
For me personally, I liked Bethesda's conference best, as it was the most relevant to me and I found it to be more entertaining. But from a more encompassing perspective, Microsoft's conference showed a lot more and was probably the best overall. Sony showed some interesting stuff, but most of it we knew about and I didn't really learn anything "new" that enticed me other than intermissions in an E3 conference is a really, really stupid idea.
Agreed, Fallout 76 is clearly NOT an MMO.
I'm 100% behind the game, but I agree, $200 is a lot for some plastic, cool as it is.
Now if it were a T-60 or X-01 helmet, I'd probably have to reconsider though. ;D
@Palitera,
That is kind of the point. If this setting were real, if there was a real apocalypse, and people were struggling to survive and competing for resources, this is how it would be. Just like the "Dark Zone" from The Division was in the beginning before Massive screwed it up, you could cooperate, or go adversarial. You had to keep your guard up and protect what was yours, but at the same time, you might not have wanted to risk an unnecessary battle that ...
I won't pay $20 for a Seagate, there is no way I'd pay more.
I have to say I was impressed. I'm not a fan of Xbox exclusives like Gears or Halo, but they really showed a ton of content with only a little bit of Phil's usual posturing. EA didn't exactly set the bar very high this year but even if they had, the sheer amount of content Microsoft showed would have blown them out of the water. Again, not an Xbox fan, but I am excited to see this level of hype and "no nonsense" conference packed with gaming goodness from Microsoft. ...
That was the US Air Force, not the US Army.
I have to disagree. This article is talking about the recent change in the UI to use a PC mouse-type cursor for selecting menu items, rather than just using the stick to switch between fields and selections. The D-pad can still be used to snap around in some cases, others require you to push the cursor around, which is more than a little annoying to console players who are used to the old way and have no need or desire to have a mouse cursor.
As for the menus and arrangem...
@ Oasdada,
Check out Post Scriptum.
It's a double standard. Just like the feminist nonsense about wearing skimpy clothes or their underwear outdoors but somehow men are the problem when the look at them. It's ok for them to objectify themselves but don't you dare do it. Lunacy.
Well there is the religious angle since many religions feel it is "wrong". Then there is the angle that it's just pandering to SJWs and and all that nonsense. Then there are people like me who are really just tired and worn out from seeing "gay" and "LBGHEIQKHFRQ" or whatever constantly in your face when they make up less than 4% of the US population. It's just blown way out of proportion and some of us feel that is wrong. Not saying it's wrong to...
Interesting that the date on the Pipboy is October 27th, 2102. That's 59 years before Fallout 1, 139 years before fallout 2, 175 years before Fallout 3 and 185 years before Fallout 4. This will be the earliest Fallout yet, only 25 years after the bombs dropped.
Fallout 76
I'd say it's probably something along the lines of ESO, only in the Fallout setting.
Yeah, this is exactly what the gaming world needs, more morons.
I believe Pete Hines has said that it will be a challenge sort of thing and you can opt out of a battle if you want. Todd Howard has said similar, but seems to be leaning toward more freedom to shoot at players, at least once, to add tension and drama. I believe both have said or eluded to a mechanic that does not allow people to repeatedly attack you so they cannot troll you repeatedly.
