Well it was pretty obvious when they said "platform exclusive" but of course fanboys tend to skip over such things. Theirs nothing wrong with it though, you make a game and Sony has your back, you get money to fund your next project which can be on any platform of your choosing. Microsoft does something similar with XNA, the tools are free for 3-4 months (at the moment), C# is super easy to use, get a "development pass" and you get to keep 70% of what you make where as XBL...
The way they did the demo was pretty smart, I'm playing through the game right now and the demo is actually sliced up bits of moments in the game. It was cool how seamless they made the demo.
To the people above, not sure what you guys are talking about since the reviews are ranging mainly from the 6s-9s from many reviewers, definitely worth a look.
It wasn't necessarily Ninja Gaiden II but other franchises that Itagaki had worked on and their companies, I forgot the games he mentioned specifically though, I think Katamari was one.
Itagaki was pretty vocal about this during the development on Ninja Gaiden II, he had some harsh words for his competition that were using these tactics.
Metal Gear Solid has been on non Sony platforms in the past, infact the last generation saw MGS grace its presence on 3/4 consoles.
Edit: Technically 4 if you count Bleem! for the Dreamcast.
Correction: There is nothing cool about the NEW Ninja Turtles, the classic ones still kick a$$!
On Kotaku's article he also said he wanted the game to sell bad, wtf???
If the framework is already their, why didn't he just release it on both consoles???
I wouldn't count the 360 port out though, it's been on the NPD charts for a while selling 200k+ each month, I think it may have been off this month.
Heh, I remember N4GRROD or what ever his username is was trying to convince people L4D was a failure and one of the leading causes of EA's losses last year.
Since these numbers don't include Steam, it must be well over 3 million.
I take it you didn't read the article and are already jumping to conclusions?
You didn't even read it and you are attacking it?
I had a preorder down for Wheelman, for the past two days I've been going to stores all over the city and NONE of them have had their shipments in yet. The North America release date was the 24th, its ridiculous on Ubisoft's part how screwed up the launch is.
Going to try again tomorrow before cracking a few skulls!
Its not a legitimate problem, its just people looking for a reason to complain. Besides can you imagine all that lag for everyone involved in the party and the multiplayer matches everyone would be playing?
The cover mechanic in multiplayer was pretty fun
Speaking of The Suffering, they should release that on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PSN, besides Midway needs all the cash they can get before the creditor committee renegotiates the debt.
"Braving the stormy waters of XBLA and PSN: Smaller is NOT Easier" is the name of the seminar.
Finally, this game has always peaked my interest, good to see its not cancelled!
2005-2008: Little kids on Xbox Live are so ruining things, I just want to game with my friends and not have some little brat scream racial slurs at me.
2008-????: The optional ability to talk to 8 people of my choosing is so killing gaming, I want to talk to little kids who will call me bad things when I pawn them at Call of Duty and Halo.
Make up your minds people!
It sold really badly, if the Aliens rumors are true and they can't find a new project, their future is pretty gloomy.
Thousands of people work at Microsoft Game Studios, they have first party developers, just not as many studios as Sony.
