Its $50 at retail as well, but you get an awesome art book.
It should be a SEGA decision.. Nintendo only takes a cut of whatever SEGA puts up
I think Nintendo's licensing for retail games is $10.
Sega might be doing this only for Japan because they feel it wont sell very well in Japan. Sega knows westerners love Sonic games, so the same deal might not arrive here.
Without very much on the system, I expect it to perform decent for the small install base... perhaps a 20% attach rate.
are they going to give us a release date for Wii U?
If you mean that Nintendo's online is like the PS2 gen because they don't charge you to play online, than yeah I can agree with that.
Enjoy paying for online multiplayer with xBone/PS4.... I still can't believe anyone would put up with that crap.... Stick to PC/Nintendo for free online.
The only system that concentrates on local multiplayer is Nintendo.. the options seem to be slim on Sony/Microsoft consoles... for shame.
I'm curious how bad the latency is going to be. Nintendo did it right by putting two wireless N chips on the device so one can handle network/internet while the other is strictly for streaming video to the gamepad.... if the PS4 doesn't have two seperate wireless chips the off tv play will have to piggy back off of your local area network which will add up to 100ms of latency (50ms each way)
Wierd because my Wii U doesn't have any dust on it and I'm enjoying it immensely... Earthbound has my full time attention with Pikmin 3 is on its way.
Agreed. People seem to forget that the Radeon 7850 in the PS4 is a low end card. 1.8teraflop performance has been on the PC gaming market for several years now.
I keep seeing nothing but fantastic reviews for this title.. Looks like Nintendo has found their mojo again.
My wife doesn't play console games (facebook farm games only), but she is excited for Pikmin 3 when I showed her a video... so hopefully its a game we can both play.
8/10 from Edge is 9.5/10 at most places.
welcome to the bias that everyone has against Nintendo... If EA made Pikmin 3, they would be praising it 10/10.
Most Japanese publishers are hurting.. Square, Tecmo, Sega, Konami, Sony.. The only 2 companies that are doing ok is Namco and Nintendo... Namco is doing ok, and Nintendo is sitting on a mountain of cash... Since Nintendo already owns Atlus debt, it would be the most prudent choice for both Index (Parent company of Atlus) and Nintendo.
Sony couldn't take the risk right now.. They had to sell buildings and lay off 10,000 employees just to remain profitable.. in order to buy Atlus they would have to be willing to pay off all of Atlus' debt, which a chunk of that debt is owned by Nintendo.
Final price tag for Sony would be over 150 million USD.... Sony needs that cash on hand incase the PS4 sells like the ps3 did when it launched (Not saying its going to flop, but after the disaster of the PS3, there i...
Exactly why I'm passing on the PS4... For $300 I rather upgrade my PC, and then pick up a Wii U in December than buy a PS4.
Sony doesn't want my money, they seem to be going aggressively after the dudebro gamer to compete with Microsoft... leaving RPG fans to be scooped up by Nintendo.
Sony is no position financially to take any risks... look at their exclusives for the PS4, all of them are playing it close to the vest, playing it very safe..
Nintendo is probably the only company that can absorb Atlus without even flinching... heck they already own alot of Atlus' debt.
financially probably impossible at this moment. With having to sell buildings to keep their head above water this year, with a dead handheld losing them money and preparing to launch the PS4 (which Sony always takes losses on their consoles), it would be insane to shell out 150m at this time, when they need as much extra cash on hand in case the PS4 follow the sales trajectory of the PS3... at least that would be the most prudent thing to do.
Nintendo financially would be in ...
Technically Nintendo already owns quite a bit of Atlus' debt... so they're bidding could come in under other bidders and they still walk away with the company.
Precious harddrive space? I just got a 1.5tb external drive for my Wii U. I could download this game over 130 times! bah
I actually prefer Nintendo's approach to storage. Let us, the consumers decide on how much or little space we need instead of a platform maker including one with some absurdly high mark up... or worse like Microsoft using proprietary storage.
