I can understand the concern, I bet Square Enix is looking at putting Final Fantasy as a huge mistake, imagine porting a 7 year old MMO and all it's content to a platform that has two consoles but is never going to have a user base big enough to pay for that development plus all the forward development.

I wonder how much of S/E poor performance can be attributed to money paying to fund that project.

Well one thing we can all be sure of is that in no way was it the fact that Microsoft needed a big game to release in 2023 on game pass so they rushed the game out the door before it was finished the way Bethesda envisioned it originally, this is nothing like Redfall, of that we can be sure.

It was everyone's fault but Microsoft that is something we can all be sure of.

Actually you didn't spend enough time looking, I went through nearly every release on both platforms to get a feel for how they rated games in general. I feel like I made that clear in my comment.

This site gave Redfall a barely functional rushed out game a 70 (average was 50) that needed a sticker on the box to warn people the promised 60 fps mode wouldn't be in the game and wouldn't be released for nearly six months later.

I spent way too much time looking at their reviews on Metacritic for this gen and they have over 10 points higher than the average for Microsoft games and a 10 lower than average for Sony exclusives.

Yea, good luck getting PlayStation performance on a $1000 PC that you buy at the start of the generation.

Heck good luck getting a video card alone that has 33TF of performance for the price of whatever the PS5 Pro costs, much less all the other parts.

You people are living in am imaginary world when you think you can build PC's that match the subsidized value of a console, it's just not reality.

Sony doesn't own Blu-ray, and xbox has Blu-ray they just chose to use an interior version of it for their disks.

It was a mistake to port it to xbox.

Having to code the games for two more platforms that are never going to attain the player base to pay for the extra development costs is going to lessen the quality of the games development for everyone.

You don't need PlayStation Plus to play on PlayStation.

So the PlayStation release now got delayed because the xbox version needed an extra disk.
