I absolutely hate GAAS but read the interview and see what the game is like before you decide to pass. Please do not completely abandon one of the better singleplayer developers of the past decade plus simply because we may get some additional content after the game is out. Not supporting interesting SP games is what got us to GAAS in the first place.

But Phil Spencer and Xbox have said they're game for another Alan Wake that Remedy just has to want to, so clearly there are some behind the scenes issues with it for whatever reason. I doubt Xbox would turn away the good PR for doing another Alan Wake.

I also say it's a shame because it clearly reviewed and sold worse than it would have without MT's and thats just a fact. When they announced it had lootboxes hype for it dropped off the cliff and its sales suffered. Reviews were also lower 1. Because of the late game grind incentivizing the lootboxes and 2. Because people don't want MT's in their SP so points were docked.

So yes the fact the years of hard work by the devs was ruined by W...

Your wrong, it was not the same experience that's why I waited, they most certainly had to adjust the game when they were removed. It was confirmed that the game was made more of a grind to incentivize the lootboxes. When they removed the marketplace and lootboxes they also had a patch to improve the grind wall you hit late game. So it was not the same experience day 1 unfortunately...

You may be right, I don't necessarily get traditional GAAS from reading any of his quotes.

It almost sounds like it has roguelike elements, with how they explain "the house" they said it "keeps shifting its shape" and "seems to infinitely expanding". Maybe a survival mode or something like that? Similar to Prey's Mooncrash DLC or Desolation of Mordor from Shadow of War.

Give them as long as they need, Origins released in not too great a state. Arkham Knight obviously had the PC debacle, I think WB figured out they can't rush these games....that's good.

@Goldenhawk521
Alright then, I disagreed because the article clearly says that he can't say why they haven't done another Alan Wake......It's like a paragraph and half in.....Also because I liked Quantum Break and Control looks awesome so if Remedy keeps making awesome games I could honestly care less what IP it was. So there.

It's such a shame what they did to Shadow of War, cause it was a good game, better than the first in many aspects but I waited until they removed the lootboxes and marketplace to play it. Hopefully they don't ruin whatever Monolith does next, they seemed to let IO have freedom with Hitman 2 and they seem to be giving Rocksteady and WB Montreal as long as they need so that's promising.

I have 150 games installed on my X1X but please continue to peddle the idiotic narrative that I literally have nothing to play on my X1.

I guess being able to play your old games you already bought without being forced to rebuy them is a bad thing when your a moron.

WWII is one the least impactful, most generic, and heartless games I've ever played. It's the most basic low effort FPS with some WWII wallpaper on it to get people back on board with COD.

Still better than Ghosts, Infinite Warfare, and WWII.

"And the 3rd party commitment doesn't need to be stated, nor does the extra power of the Xbox One X. I don't remember Sony saying any of that any chance they got"

You kidding right???
That's all Sony and it's fans on this site talked about for the first couple years after it came out lol, same with indies. Sony was all about having the most power, showcasing independent games, and touting their best 3rd party support, ...

You download the show before playing the game then it plays in between chapters. It's not 100% necessary but I enjoyed the story so unlike a lot of people I didn't mind the TV parts.

Yea your right London and Egypt share a lot of similarities.

Also as you continue bashing Odyssey for not being "an AC game", you must have forgot how 2, Brotherhood, and Revalations were the closet in terms of "re-using" environments in subsequent entries but I guess it doesn't bother you when it's "old AC"

From what we've seen it looks quite a bit like how QB played.

Pick it up if you get a chance. Fun combat, good story, and overall just a good game. I really don't think it got a fair shake when it came out. It's another example this gen of a pre-release narrative tainting people's opinion going forward.

There are certainly negatives to modern gaming but we're also getting more quality games than ever. I love plenty of old classics but if you look we're getting more good to great games per year than ever before.

Origins was literally about the start of the Assassin's order how could it be anymore about the Order. Origins had the best future story sections since III and actually made a real reference back to Desmond for the first time since III (If I'm not mistaken) (Unity and Syndicate barely focused on the future story). Origins had interesting combat, weapons, loot, and quests for the first time in the series. What exactly is the problem?

The Internet: (Year after year) this is a joke Assassin's Creed is the same every year. Who even plays these anymore. There all the same. Change it up, change it up, quit using the same formula over and over, fix the recurring problems of the series.

Ubisoft: (finally) alright guys we're gonna finally address your complaints, we're shake the series up, we're gonna fix combat, fix side quests, quit filling the map with hundreds of useless symbols, it's go...

The collectables in II, the ending of Brotherhood, the defense missions in Revelations, the same 4 repetitive side quests in III, the tailing missions in Black Flag, the launch of Unity, and you think some RPG mechanics that made combat and side quests interesting for the first time in the entire series are the worst thing to happen to AC, lol alright man.
