Sony did keep people updated on twitter and on the Playstation blog, there were several updates between the two sites in the just over 24 hrs. that the problem was in effect.
Why do desperate people make up things like this, it's beyond me.
The game is noticeably sharper on the PS3 and you don't have the disc changing thing either so if you have a PS3 your best bet would be the PS3 version, but if you just have a Xbox 360 and you like this game I'm Sure it will be a good experience for you too.
@Neoraf
The price of a 250 gig PS3 Slim is $349.99 Not $399.99 making the price for the extra 130 gig $50.00 not a $100.00. Get your math and prices straight.
I just bought a 640gig HD for my PS3(Price $129.99) for the same price Microsoft is charging for their 250gig HD. I know they say the extra cost is for security reasons but it hasn't seemed to have worked for them since their is quite a bit of pirating going on with the Xbox 360.
This article didn't do anything but move my bowels.
Fockkkk the Xbots, this thing was blown way out of proportion by fanboy blogs without any real reason. When xbox live was down for over a week (and its been down several times since) I did not see stupid articles saying that there was a huge console failure problem going on, but the PS3 and PSN is down for just over a day and we get all these stories speculating the Original PS3's are failing without having any evidence of that being the problem. Same stupid Shhhit every time there's a small ...
I have the game for PC and I think its a great game but I don't think it deserves more than a 9.0. It runs great, looks great, and has a great story but at the same time it is buggy, has long load times, and is very light on RPG elements. It has more in common with a third person shooter and a GTA type game combined. So if you are expecting a real RPG experience this game is not going to be for you.
The load times are very long on the PC version and from what I understand there s...
I have been gaming for more than 20 years and I have heard no such bull as the Japanese thinking there is a kill switch in the Playstation consoles. Playstation consoles haven't even been around for 20 years.
As for the battery problem, there have been many recalls by many companies and I doubt the Sony battery recall was the biggest recall ever. Sony makes many products so a recall was sure to happen eventually and it was only a small blip in strong reliability Sony product norm...
Good to see that Microsoft is on top of things (Sarcasm)
The Update was up for over a month and was optional before it was made mandatory.
I updated when it was first made available as did many people. I didn't hear anything about it causing problems until it was reported that it is now a mandatory download. None of the Firmware updates, and there have been many, have killed either of my PS3's (A 60gig launch system and my PS3 Slim).
Same reporting from the same websites every time Sony releases a new firmware update.
They not inherently paying more they are paying more, so your saying the point system is there to make people think there paying the same amount when they are not.
Well at least Nintendo points match in the US and I see no reason they could not match in other county's, if you pay $34.99 in Australia the cards should say 3500 points since your actually being charged $34.99.
I'm sorry your daddy kept you on the farm.
Doesn't have to be American dollars, it should match whatever the county's currency is. Is that to much common sense? Nintendo does it.
Its kinda obvious who the Moron is, take a look in the mirror.
You'll fall for any line of crap that Microsoft gives you.
Please give a good reason for the MS points to not match dollar value.
Because 400 Microsoft points equal $5.00, 1200 points equal $15.00 and so on. There's no real reason for it other than to make things seem cheaper than they really are.
Nintendo uses a points system but there points match up in dollars, 500 Nintendo points eguals $5.00. Makes more sense.
Damn those evil PS3 Fanboys, Oh wait.....
Typical response from the Xbox camp, only seeing part of his comment instead of acknowledging the whole thing.
He said that third party exclusivity will probably disappear in the near future and yes Epic is a third party developer. Third party games sell pretty darn well on the PS3 (Modern Warfare 2 over 5 million) and the money that could be made from the PS3's US and Europe install base (which is around 25 million) could easily out way any exclusivity deal that Microsoft would m...
We can tell what your all about starchild.
Tittle of the article is miss leading but how else are they going to get hits. (sarcasm)
