At least this will help me pinpoint which reviewers to completely ignor and never ever read.

If they justify a pay to win model then they're the same as EA in my eyes.

Wow I hadn't heard that one lol.
So the reduction is really illusionary.

It's the pay to win model. Not necessarily the MTs.
If the MTs were purely cosmetic then there would be less complaints. Though I'd argue content in a game should never be locked behind pay walls.

Many on n4g should eat crow. Can't believe the amount of nonsense I've had to put up with. Now of course they'll benefit from the complaints of others... They prefer to complain about how we're complaining and do nothing. Lol

Um..I wasnt.
If you bothered to read...I clearly state that I did not intend on buying it.

You've read...Good job. Have you played? Cuz allmost everything I read about this is from players who've played it and reported. Pay to win. Now they recently just reduced some of the time it will take you to unlock luke...yea luke isnt playable out of the gate...that makes sense. Before it could take you 40 hours of grinding roughly estimated. That sounds fair right?...

It is a good step...despite some odd and unexplicable defense against this kind of new world order for gaming.

Removing any and all progression through randomized loot boxes would be the final step.
I'd like to get rewarded less randomly and based on my gaming performance.

Its not entitlement.
I dont expect a free game. Or for the Devs to listen to me in particular.

We can choose to ignore. Like millenials tend to do. Not look at the trends over the past decade and pretend it wont get worse. Or be a tini tiny bit vocal and just express that this garbage should not be in games.

Especially one you pay 60$ for...not sure where the entitlement is in that price tag.

If I dont buy the game...the proble...

Yes of course there are but thats neither here nor there.
Cant force people to live up to your ideals and talk, work, live how you, personally, would want them to.
Coming to terms with this is part of growing up and dealing with life not going your way.

Moving onto why the harassment is happening and there you have the real culprit. The forced integration of gambling progression in video games...thats harassment that the dev can fix.

Not buying it is not the issue here. How many are actually willing not to buy it?
There should be some repercussions for the pay to win gambling model theyre following.

First DLC, then season passes, then loot boxes for cosmetics and now loot boxes for progression.
This is the first game and if you dont want other games to follow then its still a problem regardless of whether or not you or I purchase it.

Just because it doesnt affect me ...

"If you don't like that a game features loot boxes and / or microtransactions simply keep your money in your pocket and don't buy it. Problem solved. "

Completely false.
It affects the gameplay progression of the game in the case of Battlefront 2..making it more pay to win then ever ...so um...come again?

3044d ago 10 agree25 disagreeView comment

No. The point is a good game.
Longevity depends on the kind of game. If a game decides to gear their mechanics around lootboxes...its a bad game. Gambling mechanics should not be they way you progress in a console video game.

No different from a pretty looking mobile game.
Paying to win isnt the issue entirely...if everyone who buys that game is rich with an endless supply of money then paying more wouldnt be an issue now would it.
The problem is ...

ANd what do you think the developers who think of game systems do all day?
They likely sit in armchairs at meetings.

Concept developmental takes time...by time I mean a lot of thoughts and ideas...these are done sometimes while sitting other times standing...whatever works for the individual.

The invention of the Nike logo came from a student. So this kind of response is really ignorant.

Never said there is a reason to threaten someone.

And you are entirely wrong. It does matter if it is genuine.
If it is genuine his life is actually at risk.

The police should keep track of genuine threats. Not childish sissy fits.

Um. I would not call those actual threats. Online Threats should be treated carefully. A lot of loose fingers. I doubt many of those threats, if not all, are genuine.

Twitter should just double down on these kinds of tweets. It should not be okay to write them to anybody regardless of intent. There are real death threats out there that the police should be following through with.. These kids need to receive perspective.

That aside...The actual devs respo...

Its the loot crate pay to win progression system that people are against here. As a gamer not just in N4G but anywhere else as well, you'd be happy at this games failure.

Its designed to screw gamers. Why should gamers pay for that?
