Looks pretty cool.

I didn't think they were still adding more to the game.

Well people could say that these religious zealots are the republicans that voted for trump. I've seen that connection and that is why there appears to be some kind of political theme surrounding it.

As for myself I'll wait till it releases and then look at reviews. A good game is a good game.
Nothing wrong with their being politics in a game... theyve been secretly putting in idealogoies and politics, beliefs, etc into games since the beginning anyways.

There is a women in a similar position to myself that gets paid more. Therefore I dont think theres a gender pay gap at all. Considering that more women go to college then men I think that the pay gap is even more ridiculous and considering women make different choices, think differently, then men it makes it debunked.
Regardless the pay gap is a myth and it grabs a broad stroke of all men and women. Little statistics show it in clear detail.

@RememberThe357

Well the guy didnt talk like @yellowgerbil at all. Nor did he state anything offensive that could be seen. All I saw was topics brought up that are greatly debated still.
His employer only needed to have a talk with him...that is all. If nobody had had a problem with his opinions then he wouldnt have been fired now would he? So is it actually offensive or is it only debatable? He got fired only because people got upset because they disagree with him...

@professor_k

Beliefs, not necessarily the same as political views.
None of my beliefs are based on politics. They are all based on me as an individual.

What did he do that is against the law?

The right thing to do should not be based on popular opinion but on values that transcend popular opinion. If you think that should not be the case then you may be justifying the holocaust, slavery, genocide, etc.

The dev fired an employee because of beliefs that have nothing to do with the making of video games, they were not impacting the creation of the game, or his performance as an employee, nor his relationships with co workers.
Alas, views that are unpopular...

Pathetic, they should have reviewed the employees performance not personal beliefs and judged him based on the current 2018 social norm of what beliefs are acceptable or dubbed hateful, etc.

Im not saying the review bombing is justified; these people should review the game and not the studio but when you treat people unjustly then you will be treated the same.

This game looks awesome. Love Dontnod with their past game "Life is Strange" and this one.
Didnt get to Remember Me though.

Those are good tips and info.
If I ever get a pro I'll definitely do the clean up part.
Air around it is an obvious suggestion that applies to absolutely all devices with vents.

@rainslacker

"inflammatory or vitriolic"
This is muddy water your delving into because the statements in question dont have to be inflammatory or vitriolic.
I get what you are saying but where is the line drawn. Its lack of understanding of core values and at this point shared or understood base ground level values, which every society needs to function properly, that are missing in these types of conversations.

For instance, I...

"The controversy followed a 2016 poll by Cleveland that resurfaced over the weekend, asking whether players would prefer the ability to play Subnautica as a woman or have the studio improve upon the core game. "

Perfectly good question. This will give them a sense of what is important to their interested base.

Forgive?? I dont know. You would have to be so mentally, emotionally and physically invested into this kind of thing. At which point youd likely be suffering some kind of disorder.

I honestly never think about it.

He doesn't claim racial superiority. If anything he claims individual superiority. I just call that pride.

It's the whole accusation culture and labels that have companies and employees in fact all of society in such an awkward mess of a bind.

You mean better game?

2953d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yes of course. The appropriate action would be to reprimand or put on some kind of warning. Not fire. I sympathize with employees who lose their jobs because of personal opinions and beliefs. Opinions and beliefs that hurt no one.

There should be no consequences for inconsequential comments.
Now if he was actively bullying people on twitter then yes...there should be consequences there. Voicing your opinions that are shared with many others should not be consequential.
