Microsoft is buying the AMD chipset for the Xbox Series X plus an absolute ton of them for every Azure Cloud Server.
Thats a hell of a lot of chipsets in the first year.
Way more than Sony will be buying upfront.
Microsoft had said themselves they will be doing this plus its been mentioned a lot on financial sites.
Like I have said previously, Microsoft are having a way better deal on the AMD chipset than Sony are. Microsoft is ordering a way bigger amount and are probably paying a much bigger sum up front to amd aswell.
This will definitely give them an advantage against Sony.

Perhaps sega will pay a few million to Microsoft just to do it. Now that would be funny.
Microsoft will be getting the cpu & gpu a lot cheaper from AND compared to what Sony will be paying. Microsoft will be ordering way more long term than Sony & will be buying triple or more in the first 6 months..
Thats how they'll match or beat Sonys price.

I just don't understand some of the comments on this thread. Microsoft didn't show enough gameplay, ppl thought it was going to be all about gameplay.
Criticism of the games is stupid. We didn't see gameplay according to everyone so gameplay which is the most important thing might be amazing.
Plus these games are mainly 3rd party & will be appearing on the PS5. If Sony showcased the same games with perhaps more gameplay, would they all of a sudden look amazi...
The Xbox event were for 3rd party games, they'll be on your PS5 & will look best on the more powerful console, the Xbox Series X.
I recently heard from a UK Microsoft employee that Microsoft may announce how many Xbox One & Xbox One X consoles have sold in a tech event close to the Xbox Series X release.
Whether its true or not I don't know but he's been correct on some stuff before. He said the numbers are quite surprisingly higher than ppl think..

Wow reading through the comments on this thread & most of the other threads on N4G I think the whole site is getting taken over by nothing but cry babies. The ppl on here who genuinely love video games are being outnumbered 3 to 1, in the comments anyhow..

Well obviously Sony isn't scared as Sony isn't a person, but 10 Million Subscriptions of Gamepass is yet another revenue stream for Ms & it's only going to go up. Microsoft has the money & infrastructure to be the number one subscription service especially with X cloud coming soon as well
10 Million Subscriptions to Gamepass already must be pretty scary for Sony.
If Microsoft is having that amount of extra revenue could there be a chance that they will take a bigger hit on the Xbox Series X & sell it much cheaper than anyone is expecting?
That means way more ppl will be buying & way more ppl will be hopefully on Gamepass. Microsoft must know that a great price on Xbox Series X from day one will certainly hurt Ps4 sales & also kick into Google Stad...
Awesome news having that many subscribers, they are obviously making money and good to know Gamepass is here to stay.
I've recently sold my Xbox One X so I could get some tidy money for it before the Xbox Series X comes out. I'll be buying a Series X day one & my main reason is Gamepass it's amazing...

It is the best 1st console for me, I haven't got a really powerful PC. There's some great exclusive games on the Xbox One X plus 90%+ of multiplats are graphically better. I can also play 100s of Xbox 360 games on the One X & I can even play some original Xbox games too.
Plus I can pay monthly for gamepass so any new 1ST party games that come out I can play them on day one.
It's by far the best choice for me...
Can't wait for this, hopefully Microsoft will have some big surprises. They have everything else in place it's now just the games & the price...
