i always have my laptop right next to me and if i dont have my 16ft cable i just plug it right into my laptop... plus usb mini is soo common that most people are bound to have several cables, i know i have dozens of varying lengths.
grr... that sucks.
oh well, if some retailers offer trade in incentives i just may go for it anyway... those usb ports, the wifi built in, and an overall quieter system has my interest piqued.

........... really?! i have a 60gb and up until last year i was always having to delete stuff to install new games or demos.... now i have a 500 and im already half full and ive thrown my entire music library on it and a few movies/tv shows as well. now i dont ever have to worry about what game or demo to delete- i hated doing that cause what if you decide to play it later? i dont like waiting for it to reinstall/redownload especially if its a game that had lots of updates...

naw... i dont think that looks very good.... the original design was better, heres hoping they are reliable *crosses fingers*however if they managed to eliminate hardware/software falure and quiet the drive i just may get one if priced competitively.

i dont know about you, but ive had the chance to try out the 3d demos on the ps store... and well its fucking awesome... way better than a 3d movie.
if you have the money 3d is far from a gimmick when it comes to games... its just that magic ingredient. 3d games will have the ability to suck you in like never before.
