Ubisoft was supporting the Wii U more than Nintendo was for most of the 1st year since launch- as someon who bought Wii u at launch and only have a Wii u (re home consoles) I was very greatful that Unisoft was taking the risk they did- they not oomlyrovided good games they're died much needed variety- Unfortunately for Ubisoft the risk they too supporting the Wii u cost them plenty - both ACIII and ACIV were well some versions on the Wii u and neither sold well- ACIV sold far better...
I don t know which part of thier own translation that they came up w online play - it was more wishful thinking and trying to refute another more accurate gaming site that said there would not be online play
I guess the new word of the day is "online interactivity".
It has been successful so far- but in no way did it make them millionaires and revenue is not close to being all profit-
if u look in the comments section under the original story there is a link to Yatch Club games website that has a great overview of thier dec process and basic breakdown re cost Etc. I hope they become millionaires since they seem like dedicated great guys- But they still have a ways to go - more power to them
They risked a lot and will conti...
Well written article and a balanced look at the 2 consoles situation. - It is def too early to declare a winner
Who do you think would have been responsible for signing off on the name if not Iwata? Are you also saying that if Iwata disliked the name he couldn't t have done anything about it?
It must have been named by 3rd party developers! They named the Wii u then they gimped the name - it's all thier fault!!!
Wii 2 HD. The 2 would be both the sequence and the 2nd screen
The name is one of many problems that have held the console back
They have all been mentioned various times so I won t repeat but they made several major mistakes re the Wii u that have and will cost Mimremso for some time to come
Thank you for that valuable Insight- you are a scholar and a gentleman
What kind of online play does it have?
It has mii verse connectivity , dlc and skins to download - what part is the online play?
Most anyone reading this article and being intellectually honest understand the point of the article is this game is not going to have online multi player, where other Warriors title on Non Nintendo platforms do have online multiplayer
Few companies control thier platforms, IP and games like Nintendo- if anyone does not think the online decision was ultimately up to Nintendo they are either delusional or naieve (sp)
Nintendo is driving the Hurule Warriors train - it has one of its biggest names on the cover and title - if Nintendo wanted online multi player it would be there
The best I can tell- for the article saying they have proofed the story to be false is flat out wrong - they have not offered clarification or any evidence that the original article came from Neo gaf - saying it is false is poor research sourcing or just wishful thinking-
IMO the original story is unimportant weather there is truth to it or not- that is simply business and business politics and happens all the time to some level
But saying they have proof the st...
How are you sure it is false? I would not doubt it is false either but I still don t know what information is available to refute the article in the Japaneae business paper - so what other than opinion makes this story 100% false?
I would not be surprised if the rumor is false - however, how is this info proving it to be false? Didn t the original article sourced come from a reputable Japanese business journal? Or is this article indicating the Japanese business journal formed its story based on information from Neogaf- this is all hard to follow
Doesn t it seem unlikely that a business journal in Japan would base its story from post in Neo gaf?
Thanks for any clarification
They need more games to sell at retail - considering many retailers have limited/reduced how much space they are giving the wiiu hardware and software - they are probably telling Nintendo they will make more room for 1st party games and less for others-
The NES remix is a quick way to get more presence at retail and make retailers happy because it is 1st party
Not really - the title stayed the same and he tried to justify attributing a direct quote to the developer by some vague bs connection As an editor he should know what a quote is
It was an update to the story and it should have been a retraction so It was not "corrected"
If you read the comments enough to see the complaints then you already know the answer to your question
There are plenty of positives to say about Nintendo without resorting to skewed comparisons.
The guy doing this video is the same guy who attributed a negative Nintendo fan quote on an Internet forum to Slightly Mad Studios. (In the title of the story no less).
They should have had the e 3 they just did ready for the e3 just before the Wii u launch - it was a great e 3 but 3 years too late for the Wii u time frame
If Iwata were to be replaced', we do not know at all that his replacement would put Nintendo games on I pads-
Everyone is acting as if it is automatic that the next guy would go mobile - that is simply not a guarantee - Many companies are finding out that mobile is not easy money
I wish the translation could be confirmed before publishing it
I would be very unhappy to see Old Nintendo games go to smartphones when we can t even get them on the e shop - Iwata should take heat for not having most of Nintendo s library up on the e shop - it would bring in revenue and even sell systems
Nintendo has executed poorly under Iwata and they need to operate much better or thier situation will continue to get worse
The Year of Luigi was mostly a big software drought - are they releasing anything in the West in Aug? It's a good way to keep in the news when ther are no games
