Local is a lot less to develop than online-
One game I wish they had put local co op on was Lego City- I could not believe it was left out on that game- ( I know Nintendo was not the developer but they paid for the game I beleove and could have had local co op if they wanted).
Otherwise I am glad they are still doing it as well as local single player
No doubt the growth is in online but there will always be a market for local single an...
This article makes little sense - it sounds like someone attempting to make a juvenile argument trying to find something positive about Wii u sales but not quite having enough ammo
OR
A homer journalist trying to defend falling Wii u sales in Japan via comparing "apples and oranges"......
Nintendo caters to the Japanese market more than any of its other markets ( probably in part because that is were most of its stockholders l...
Good post but wouldn't t the 2 groups you mentioned only add up to a minute # of people - there can't be many wii u owners at all that don t have a game pad and I think a high percentage of Wii u owners do like the game pad- even those who prefer the pro contrôlée to game with would still refer the gamead for the e shop and mini verse
I m not saying they did the update to in bundle the game pad but there has to be so e other reason for the update than the ...
The Wii u library is getting better but it is still weighted toward platformers- whoever likes platformers could have bought the Wii u a while back and had plenty of content but if platformers are not your thing then the library could still use a few more games to diversify
Makes sense - choices are always good- I get the feeling there may be something bigger behind these updates that may not be revealed in the near future but it's just a hunch
Either way any improvement is good
I agree it is interesting- what is the purpose of using multiple controllers for the e shop- is that done In case someone's game pad is broken?
LilbroRX- if you are not a Nintendo fan ( and a very sensitive one ) then there is no such thing as a Nintendo fan
We have a Wii, a Wii U and a 3ds in our home ( all purchased for my son but enjoyed by his little sister and I too) - We do not and have not owned another console - I have never understood why Nintendo console owners and/or fans want to defend them at all cost and try to act like Nintendo has not made plenty of mistakes - I want them to suceed, do a better j...
If I understand the article correctly - It says; this years club Nintendo prizes would be disappointing normally but the precious years prizes were so bad it makes this years look good by comparison
Nintendo do must be going for the same effect w the virtual console on the Wii u eshop-
Slow down there Nintendo- you don t want to dump your whole IP library on us in one shot!!
You don t want to spoil us wiiu owners w games
I think Nintendo still believes it does not have competition - They do things better in Japan because that is were their stockholders ( mostly) live
I agree that of they are going to do the program do it right or not at all
EA is hardly the only 3rd party support in the industry that Nintendo has missed out on - EA is a convenient excuse and as good a scape goat as you could ask for but to say they are the reason Nintendo has not had 3rd party support is false
Nintendo knew they had to sell as many consoles at launch thru the holidays as possible because it was going to slow a bunch after they started announcing delays to key games and then starts losing the little support they had due to sale...
You may or may not be correct but it is s still speculation
They also had a change at the CEO position so that could have factored in as well
Plus Nintendo was hyping launch window games they knew would be delayed by 6, 9, 12 months or substantially more and EA hyped games that weren't t going to be there at all- So Nintendo benefited by having strong launch sales due in part to hype of both Nintendo and EA games - people like me that bought the Wii U...
I ve never been impressed w EA as a business but a partnership is made up of at least 2 partners - To speculate the reason for the "break up" was all due to EA is niaive - there are 2 sides to each story and we have neither side -
It is more probable the reason for lack of EA support is due to poor Wii u sales and pot 3rd party sales - the same primary reasons for other 3 rd parties lack of support
Additionally does anyone really believe Need f...
The gamepad has virtually no portability outside the room the console is located
It has terrible battery life
Even if someone mostly uses thier tablet at home - they still expect it to be portable when needed
There are a million other reason why the Wii u remote is it a tablet nor should be sold as one
It can still sell on the Wii u - they said they are delaying it not cancelling it
Why are articles like this that mis appropriate quotes not retracted?
If they want to do an article on the delay then fine but it is well known by anyone who cares to pay attention that SMS never said the quote attributed to them
I'm surprised Bayonetta is not on the list
Is Splatoon already taking pre orders?
Initially they probably intended to lead w the Wii u, but that was 3 years ago - there was no way they could predict 1) how poorly the Wii u would sell and 2) how poorly 3rd party titles would sell on the wii u
They may need the revenue from the other consoles to support the release on the Wii u and hope they don t lose money
Weapon ally ii hope it sells great on the Wii u assuming it is a quality game- the only way we will get more 3 rd party support is to have e s...
I hope everyone knows by now they did not say what is attributed to them in the quotes - it was a random fan post on a fan based sight
The developer never said any such thing
One of the real advantages of the Wii u is local multi player w 2 screens- I wish they had made that even more of a focus that or asymmetrical gameplay which ever is the best description
Having one person on the game pad and one On the tv screen is great weather working together or as opponents
