They seemed to have aimed directly at the widest demo s they felt they could- therefore it needs to be as accessible as possible and easy to follow
It seems they did shaft the core gamer with Destiny - I imagine the momentum will slow down before long -
IMO those names tell a lot about their intent and direction

Although the game may or may not release on Nov 21, I don t think the date from the retailer is legit - Nintendo does not let its info out till they are ready - they aren t going to disclose it to a retailer If they want it to be kit secret still
The names they use in this game sound like a 7th grade Sci Fi buff in creative writing class-
The Darkness, the Traveller, the Guardians, the Fallen the Ghost etc. Sounds like 1 big cliche. How could they release this game with such condescending story lines and names?
A few hundred million $'s and the best they can come up with is " The Darkness" and "The Traveler"?

The Darkness (bad) and The Traveller (good) are almost condescending to the people who may play the game- clearly they were going for the "unwashed masses" but even this demographic has to roll their eyes at some of the writing
Question for you: I downloaded Wii U party when I purchased MK8 because I already owned the other games - Personally I don t like Wii U party but my kids love it and it is technically their console and the reason I own the Wii u -

Since holidays 2013 there have been DKTF and MK8 plus the Lego movie game for retail
The eshop virtual console gMea have come out like about as slow as anyone could have imagined and there are no GameCube or Wii games
Many of the games you listed are post launch 3rd party that I liked and bought many of - unfortunately not many did buy them and now we are getting close to zero third party so it has been a dry run most of the time
The Vita has sold more than 1.6 million more than Wii u
Typical- agreed- Sometimes they act like they are the only gaming option, that people don t have a choice re how they spend their entertainment/gaming $'s and it shows in thier market share

I really think some of the delayed games on the Wii U were nothing more than smoke and mirrors to make it appear more games were coming sooner for the Wii u than they actually had

Surprise releases are always a good thing - the more the merrier- I don t like Party games much but seeing as how the Wii u is actually my 8 year old Son s ( I just enjoy the benifits), I m glad Mario Party is on deck- He really likes party games - He even loves Wii Party U - which I don t think much of ( free download for buying MK8- already owned the other options)

Pretty poor communication from Nintendo- why did they announce both games available for EU then change it? Most of the big game retailers had been doing pre orders w both games included now they are having to do a 180 and making people upset -
You mention other co s not doing enough to get younger gamers into gaming- bit right now Minecraft has the attention of a large part of the younger gamers- much more so than anything on the Wii u- yet MSFT and Playstation both have it and Nintendo does not - Every day that goes by w out Minecraft, Nintendo s hold on the younger generation is slipping
