I would've found them more credible had it been even a 98
Lighting looked better in the demo (no surprise that probably had to be turned down for framerate), but some of the models look improved.

Im more surprised that there IS a singleplayer at all
I know there is lore associated with the Souls series, but its never really been a plus to me - just kind of ignored it.
That said, its still one of the most polished and fun series I have ever played, and to pull that off with a seeming lack of cutscenes and "hit you over the head story" elements is pretty damn impressive.
What other games nowadays are really just selling the game experience, rather than forcing you through videos, etc?

Seriously though - its gonna sell on name recognition alone. I wish they would go a different direction honestly, rather than futuristic, but if its good Ill probably pick it up.
40% seems reasonable, although I definitely would have pictured it closer to 25 or 30% tops. It amazes me how many people haven't moved to windows 7 yet, let alone 8 or 10.
Sucks for the consumer sure - but that marketing group knows what its doing. This game is still gonna sell tons
The 360 and PS3 will probably be remembered as the last great SINGLE generation of consoles.
I don't think its going to be fair to compare then and now, with the Xbox 1.5 and PS4.5 about to hit, if rumors are true - we have never really had such a substantial "revision" of a current console in the same generation.
The keypad via phone is actually pretty cool - I had no idea that was a thing. Typing on screen with the controller is definitely clunky imo
Thats a shame - but seriously not being able to achieve 20fps? At what point is the game unplayable to where it shouldn't even be sold?
Exploits like this in an online game ruins it for other players. Why bother grinding for gear when players just glitch to max out their chars. I definitely say punish
As much as I enjoyed Bloodborne - Dark Souls and Demon Souls have always been the best imo. Glad to see its doing well (as if there was any doubt)

They are hard compared to games in THIS generation.
Compared to games on some legacy consoles? No, I guess they aren't that hard.

Thats fair, and maybe I shouldn't have said brutal because I agree - definitely haven't been invaded by experts most of the time. It was the times where you kill an invader and are instantly being invaded again (rinse and repeat a bunch of times) that was tough imo.
The ganking portion, or at least waiting until I had tried to continue on the map and was already stuck fighting other enemies - that part kinda sucked, but its just a part of the game
I disagree that Dark Souls 3 is the harder game. Overall it hasn't seem to be as brutal as the previous games imo.
Otherwise agree with their points up through what I've played - the invasion system seems brutal this time around haha. Was invaded 5 straight times last night in the swamp after bringing down the tree
RE4 started the downfall. I know people loved that game, but that was the turning point from survival horror, into the garbage shooter it is today.
End Game Content please. Dark Zone is fun for a while, but the incursion is bleh imo, and I can only run so many challenge missions...
Every MMORPG I have tried on console hasn't felt "right". The sense of community just isn't there like when playing on PC.
Consoles do a ton of games well, MMORPG really isn't one of them imo
