That does seem like an annoyance, I thought they were going to complain about how "hard" the games are
Did they turn the tv on?
AKA - unless doing a side to side compare, you won't notice a difference. Just get the version for your console of choice?
Doesn't Disney also do this in their movies? I imagine this is actually a pretty common practice
On a 27inch monitor, I can certainly tell its sharper, although it won't be as pronounced on a 50+ inch screen. Honestly I don't think the sharpness makes a massive difference here. If anything it looks like a more contrasty image, maybe some extra effects with the PRO that provide a bigger plus
Not saying its right, but there is money to be made there, and I fully expect companies to charge for it.
Id watch it
People saying streaming 4K is just as good as having the physical source media putting out 4K are just delusional.
Yes 4K Netflix looks great, but it doesn't hold a candle to some of the 4k blurays I have seen.
The game has been in development for so long, it looks like an upscaled PS3 game. Clearly they started work 1 (2?) generations ago
That is amazing
Screenshots in 4k vs running the game in full 4k content are two different things. It will look great, but at the end of the day a $400 console is not going to compete with 4k running with all the bells and whistles on a high end pc setup. (Apples and Oranges)
"Check out these poorly compressed gifs from a 720p upload, on your most likely uncalibrated 1080p computer monitor to compare the difference between HD and UHD!"
/sigh
Its almost like playing a pc game on Very High, vs High doesn't really impact the game!
Thats really impressive. Wonder how easy that engine is to work with
Still not going to be powerful enough for most newer games coming out to hit 4k at a steady framerate with all the eye candy turned up. (MUCH more expensive rigs still struggle with that)
Not a knock on PS4 Pro by any means, it just seems like an odd stop gap to me. Great for early 4k adopters who want more 4k media options on their 4k tv's though.
lol @ all the downvotes. I completely agree with you. Its the risk of being an early adopter...
Im not saying what the developer did was right (misleading information - but damn a bunch of these people should wait for reviews/the game to be complete BEFORE buying it)
Looks better than the slim, but worse then the original PS4 imo.
The gaps between the "layers" just seem too wide - looks odd to me.
I think the timeliness of mod support will make the difference. Mods can really enhance the game, but if most people have already moved on once the mods start coming out - will it matter?
GTA 6 please
