I'm right there with you. I'll just let time bide until it's released with the definitive version on next gen. Now I know it was published by Nintendo, but if you were alive during the 90's, it was insane to even utter the words "sonic on a Nintendo console"...but here we are. I still don't understand why people are still looking forward to this game. Every new news I see on it just crushes my fond childhood memories even further. But then again, I'm from the generation where the last great sonic game was sonic and knuckles. Adventure was ok back in 1999 but it was the start of a trend that I think ruined future games. Gimmicks and to many useless characters.
The funny thing is Knack > Ryse in sales...so um.
You have to take reviews with a grain of salt nowadays. Most of them are more opinionated than not.

Some times it's nice to revisit a world or fantasy you've enjoyed. And with updated visuals ta boot. Mario all stars, I think was the first remastered release. You got Mario 1 2 and 3 plus lost levels with updated SNES graphics. I was in heaven. So if they wan't to keep updating old but "GOOD" games in the future, they can shut up and take my money.
