okay, so by your own words then, metal gear solid and killzone would also fall under this category, correct? i hope you are not simply saying halo is nothing spectacular, when you say it is just another fps since that would categorize every single fps as unoriginal and non-spectacular, right?
and poeple don't end up buying 8 million copies of a game because they are "told" it is good. if a game comes out, and sells a few million right off the bat, if the game sucks...

actually, Halo3 DOES provide something new. for the campaign mode of the game, you are able to play 4 player online co-op...that is unheard of for a typical shooter game. also, ALL games incorporate ...

i would love for you to come back on this forum after Halo3 launches and sales figures are released for september/october and see just how much of an impact Halo3 has on hardware sales....i will bet you anything that consoles sales jump significantly at the end of september/early october.
and no, not everyone that wants halo has an xbox360...if you know anything about the userbase of the original xbox, then you would know that there are alot of people that have not bought a 360...
this is a sad day as i was really hoping for a future Crimson Skies title for the xbox360....maybe MGS will spear head that title sometime in the future, as it was one of my all-time favorites on the original xbox

i agree, why in the world do we have to have an article to give areason for a price drop? how about this...the 360 will be out for almost 2 years, and EVERY console out there has had a price drop after about 20 months to help generate more sales....seems hard to grasp, lower the price in order to sell more of something....hmmm....lol
um, how about comparing games that are actually AVAILABLE on the ps3...not games that have yet to be released...that is just dumb. i can easliy say "well, gears of war2 is FAR SUPERIOR in graphics to killzone2, or mgs4....just wait and see"

You can put Gears of War2 on EVERY 360 owners shopping list once that gets made in time for holiday 2008. Have you heard of Bioshock? sorry, but i think you are completely wrong. if blu-ray wins, that is NOT going to affect the xbox360 gaming console AT ALL. the hd-dvd drive for the 360 is an add-on drive, it is an OPTIONAL ACCESSORY for the 360. if blu-ray wins, that means that poeple looking for a blu-ray player will buy a stand alone unit....and don't say they will buy a ps3 because how many people do you know that aren't gamers but want to watch movies, went to the store to buy a ps2 or regular xbox to use as their d...

yeah this thing is not exactly easy on the eyes lol i went to bestbuy on sunday, when this thing was released, and they had 32 of them sitting in a pile. i had gone in at 6:30pm (Central time). i don't think that these are going to sell like hot cakes like microsoft anticipated. this is a bit of an overkill for the halo3 marketing campaign. i am a 360 owner and love it, but there is no way in hell i would pay an extra $50 for this paint job
