Thing is the 580 costs more than a PS3 or 360. But by the time BF3 comes out I'm hoping I can build a PC with a 580 (maybe even Sli or 590).
If that's the case then I have no hope - here in the Scottish countryside I get ~1MB speeds :(
I'm calling FIFA 13 - you saw it here first :)
I'm still sticking with a 2012 reveal of both PS4/Xbox720 and a late 2013 release. I can't believe Sony would release the Vita in the same year as their new console; also I can't remember a time when a console was revealed and released in the same year. It usually goes E3 reveal then release following year.
Because 90%+ of people playing these games will play on console.
This is just the opinion of one guy. Just because it comes from a "journalist" doesn't give it any more credibility than if any of us were to make a list. Everyone has their own favourite games this gen. Mine's are MGS4, UC2, Bioshock, and Gears.
I wonder how they'll get a PC benchmark to run on console. I'm not a PC gaming expert but so far as I understand it's hard enough to get Crysis to run max on PC.
" is there a need in the marketplace for a very specialised portable device of that capability? "
Nintendo DS has sold 145m and the PSP has sold around 70m so clearly there is a market place for handheld devices.
Or maybe Homefront. This would encourage players to perform as many actions as possible rather than just camp in corner.
I agree. That was an oversight on IW's part and I can't believe they didnt fix it. With the hardline perk you could effectively get a nuke after 6 kills which defeats the whole purpose of a 24 killstreak.
Lol.
I made this point earlier about a gaming PC which costs £250 (~$400). I don't think it's possible - a good GPU will cost around £150 (top end will cost £400+) and that's already most of the budget gone; add in motherboard, CPU, PSU etc and it just isnt workable.
DICE havent actually stated the minimum reqs for BF3 yet. However lots of sites are saying that the demos so far have all been shown on a single GTX580 so that would be the GPU i'd go for.
Also the price is for everything, including monitor, kb, mouse, OS etc.
I think we should read his comments in context; he's not talking about the few people who have top end PCs that can run this game on max. The majority of people don't have a PC that could push BF3 beyond what you would get from PS3 (aside from the maps and player count).
To get what you're seeing in the demos would be quite costly; I don't think it's possible to build a gaming PC for £250. That said I am looking to build a PC and expect to spend betwe...
Cant see this happening; Sony is investing heavily in Vita and MS is pushing Kinect pretty strongly. I'd say end of 2013 at the earliest before we see the next gen.
What I mean is it's now coming out for PS3. This wasnt the case when it was first announced.
XCOM has gone multi, so this wouldnt surprise me. Originally I thought it would be a PS3 timed exclusive - T2 don't do outright exclusives. Just think of GTA3, GTA4 dlc, Bioshock, and now XCOM.
Thanks man.
A sequel that is similar to a previous game made by the same developer? What does the guy expect?
While we're on the topic, how much would a PC that could run BF3 on max cost?
But if you're going to game on PC might as well make it worthwhile; the demos of BF3 shown thus far have all (supposedly) been shown on a single 580 and that's the way I would want to play it.
Also DICE apparently said that the PC which can max out BF3 hasnt even been made yet.
