I definitely agree with that as one who has been through many hobbies.One of my oldest hobby was collecting and playing Magic the gathering and I don't think I can sum up the courage to sum up all the money I've spent on that card game since I started playing it in 1995. Also games have always been expensive along with consoles. I've been gaming on pc's and consoles since 1982 and I can tell you the prices haven't changed much.
If this is pain, I'd gladly feel a lot of it :)
Well I'll just have to take great care in opening it up so it won't get loose early. I do know that Nintendo also makes good durable hardware. My daughter's Wii and DS has been bulletproof. I'm also planning in buying her a regular 3ds as a christmas present....though I do feel a bit guilty getting mine a lot earlier than her :P
@klecser
No problem with not wanting a Vita if Nintendo games are your thing. For me I'd love to have both systems since I like what each has to offer. And bubs to you for being helpful earlier :)
Thanks, I saw a 3ds xl pikachu edtion and it's making me drool :). Just worried about the loose hinges. I have a bit of ocd and would hate to have loose hinges on my 3ds xl after buying.
Looks like I'll get an xl then. The Vita defense group is a bit low on numbers for now. I have a good feeling that this year and the next will be a good time to be a Vita owner.
Guess the mods are a bit "touchy" today. Can't believe he got reported for something like that.
There are a lot of good games for it if you actually own one. I'm just waiting right now for my copy Killzone Mercenaries and Dragon's Crown which are gonna be great additions to my game library.
I'm deciding if I should buy the 3ds or the 3ds xl, the bigger screen on the xl is indeed better but the 3ds is cheaper than the xl. Also I'm wondering if the 3ds xl also suffers from the same loose hinge that the some 3ds units suffer from. I'm just waiting for some extra funds before I take the plunge and purchase one.
I own an android smartphone and a Vita, and I play with my vita more simply because the games on it are far better than any android games out there. I just find it funny that these android gamers are invading vita threads and spreading fud. It's also funny that Killzone Mercenary is the best looking portable game that's gonna be out and you can play it on a $250 console not a high end expensive phone.
@gamer
Get PSN plus, it pays by itself by giving you free games every month. That's one of the reason I'm complaining about the price of memory cards! If Sony releases a 64gb and drops the price of memory cards I'm very sure that a lot of people will buy more vita's.
Just cut the memory card price to match sd card prices and also release 64gb and 128gb capacity and I'll be a happy vita owner.
@14feb
I sincerely hope that KZ would satisfy you. It's really hard for a company to please every consumer out there. For me I'm quite happy with the Vita's current hope they'd reduce the memory and future offerings. I only card price, since it's the major gripe of every vita owner out there.
Because apparently a lot of people are also braindead.....it's the only logical reason I can think of considering he's still an ANALyst.
Well said, people who mostly follow popular opinion don't know how to think by themselves. I've never owned an Iphone too and I find it too overpriced for what it offers. I've only owned a Vita for 3 weeks and I can never go out without it. It's an excellent console on it's own and the only thing I can complain about is the price for the memory cards. People who say it doesn't have enough games don't own a Vita or is a very hard to satisfy gamer.
Oh yeah that's definitely the reason. People can dish out crap knowing they're not gonna be punished for it.
If there are boobs people complain, if there are no boobs people still complain....probably a lot more!
They don't actually need to deem MS a threat to make this bundle. This bundle would also help the vita out a lot in terms of selling it to more people. With more vita's sold, more developers will be enticed to release their games for it. If the ps3 didn't sell for a loss when it was released it would have severely affected it's sales. Sometimes you'd need to make some sacrifices in order to make better gains.
They sold the PS3 at a much higher loss back then, I think they can do the same with the vita and its gonna be less painful since it's cheaper to manufacture. Also software is where the real money is. Do you think Canon, Epson or other printer companies make a lot of money from selling printers? Nope, they make money from the ink cartridges.
Well I have to say that Sony's greatest strength is also exclusives along with Nintendo.
