you did not read the article did you?
traditionaly Nintendo focuses on first party support. at least it did during the 64 and gamecube era. The wii era only had third party for shovelware. Very few AAA third party games were ever published on the WII.
So this does not surprise me at all.

the difference bewteen Sony and Ms is much slimmer than last year.... which means sony fans will not scream:
"Its Vcharts"
now it will be "good job sony".
Vcharts is only bad when Ms numbers are good. When Sony is doing well, then Vcharts is the a great source of data.

if you believe the numbers, it seems that they all did mediocre compared to last year.

VALVE has been hating on MS and windows to set the stage for their entrance into the console market. It kind of affects their creadibility a bit since they have a stake in their competitors demise.
however, I wish them the best, and hope they have more class when they enter the race.

A good story might makes things better, but in gaming gameplay is King.
I do not know whether it deserves it or not.
However, I have been a gamer since the atari 500
and I have owned most popular consoles including several unpopular ones like 3DO, Atari 7200, Sega Saturn, and the Jaguar.
As a seasoned gamer, I really am not interested in nintendo's new console. I just dont really get it.
I am not saying it is bad, since I have only played several demos at the mall, but I just dont see the appea...

Gears and Halo overrated.... lol
both are objectively very good games in almost every aspect (single and multiplayer, and overall value)
very few games this gen offer so much content and replay value, as proven by the thousands who still play Halo 3 and Gears of War 1 online...not to mention Halo 4 and Gears 3.
