consider however, that your are also making assumtions as to what Sony is thinking. Perhaps Sony is not were they wanted to be and they are now scrambling for a strategy. I don't know.
the fact is that this time around, Sony has stronger competition. So the alleged 10 year plan Sony speaks off could backfire. If in fact they do have a ten year plan, then you must admit it is very risky.

there is no doubt that the 360 was first in the market when it released in 05. The graph however, demonstrates trends.
the trend is that the WII is kicking major butt.
and also the 360, sits pretty in second. The Playstation is making some headway but not fast enough to catch up, so far?!

I also do not own a Playstation 3, but I am happy that they are making different games for it.
Games like this are great for the industry. and as you mentioned, it will force the competition to work harder.

The game looks like it is going to rock. But, I do not think it should be considered a sleeper hit becasue i always thought a valve game on the 360 will sell like hotcakes.

Littlebigplanet disappoints so far because it is supposed to be an AAA, and did not sell like one for the first week. that is it.
In my opinion the jury is still out. Judging from the reviews and the fanboys in this cite, this games is definitely AAA material (i obviously haven't played it yet, but will soon.)
So, i would stop this "its a flop bull##$$" at this moment. This trend could (probably will) turn around.

you make some good points, but i had so much fun with the game that I would not give less than a 9.0.
the few disapointments i had are nothing in comparison to the overall experience. (i was terribly disappointed at the games ending.)
I love how your caracter changes as time progresses and how some of your chices are reflected in your appearance. I cant wait to play it again, which will happen sometime in 09., Too many good games right know.

the 360 is poised to have a spectacular final quarter. That is undeniable. the Sony defense force and usual sackboys will do there best to spin the numbers.

I am super excited about this game.
but if the game is a short and lacking in options, as stated in this review and many others, including IGN, and only good for multiplayer, then perhaps the game should not be reviewed as a 9 and up.
I guess the problem could stem from the price tag. If this game was cheaper perhaps this review is not justified. (however should cost be factored in the reviews? interesting proposition, perhaps for another thread)
