it was the first game which made me like playing fps in consoles. before halo i was only interested in fps for pc.
so basically halo significantly expanded the fps market. hate away but i will always recognize

ms never assumed that. to the contrary if they had assumed that they would have included hdvd standard and they did not. why becasue they were waiting to see what happened with the hd format war.
i agree that 360 owners are missing out on hd movies, but this is a gaming console, and at the moment i have not seen any evidence that blue ray improves games.

u r completely right, it was a good business decision to go with dvd. blue ray cost Playstation market shares. as a business decision so far it has proven very beneficial.
perhaps Playstation is a better value, but since i do not need or want blue ray, then the 360 is a bet...
well at the moment i don't need and/or want a blue-ray player so i agree. if ms makes an add on and it is competitively priced and good quality i would not have any issues what so ever.
however, eventually i am buying a playstation 3, so ms adding blue ray capabilities is completely irrelevant to me.

in any case can't wait for the dlc.
perhaps i'll start with a new character this week to be ready for the dlc. I have'n't played with an evil character yet, so this is probably a good opportunity to get it done, and get the achievements :)

i am worried about halo wars only becasue it is an rts on a console, but it looks very good so far.
I am a halo fan and to the haters let me remind u that halo 3 is still played online more than any playstation 3 game. so even if you cannot control ur hating perhaps u can recognize that accomplishment.

(yea the numbers are fake because ms published them. but if Sony publishes their numbers then those are real. See Sony, unlike other companies, is doing it for gamers not for money. so they never spin their numbers and are completely reliable.)

if your numbers are accurate and i'll assume they are then the playstation and 360 are both doing ok. i think that it is remarkable that the 360 is actually competing with sony. ms has leveled the playing field something that i thought would be impossible. I thought that sony would be destroying ms by now. the fact that we are head to head speaks volumes on the progress ms has done from one...
