Mass Effect is the best game I have ever played. The story, game play and graphics are all top notch. The immersion makes you feel like your Commander Sheppard from beginning to end. The frame rate you speak of is not perfect but doesn't hinder game play in any way. If you are a gamer (not a casual gamer)DO NOT buy a Wii. There is a price to pay if Nintendo wins the format wars; mini games and Mario games up the butt is all we will be playing. If you like playing games that look AND play good, vote for the 360 or PS3.
Disclaimer: I have a Wii and love the games I have for it but... I want other games that look good and have game play that goes beyond a simple difference in control, ala Wii.
The 360 will outsell the PS3 this holiday no contest. It is ridiculous and irrational to think otherwise. You don't have to be a fanboy to come to this conclusion either. I agree with the increased RROD susceptibility with the add-on. The console gets extremely hot. My console started to experience artifacts and streaking after a period of only 2 weeks...than it died. I've vowed never to buy one again. Anyone worried about your console overheating, buy a laptop cooler. I have the Antec laptop cooler $49.00 in stores ($25 on eBay) and my 360 is reasonable cool. No more worries:)
The HD DVD player for the 360 is not a bad player. I have not read a single negative review for it. The picture quality is as good or better than my new stand alone Toshiba player. The only thing I would caution people about in regards to it was that I "believe" it gave my console the RROD. The HD DVD player is very hardware intensive on the console. I would recommend everyone to pass on the add on and get a stand alone.

I don't think you understand the word: Variety. The definition is simple: the state of being varied or diversified (dictionary.com). Please tell me who has more games, Xbox 360 or PS3? Even your smart enough to answer that one. How many games are on the Xbox that are not on the PS3...theres been quite a few articles on that subject (Google it). It is maddening to think that even though the 360 has consistently sold in larger quantities any sales data increase in the PS3 is glorified. OMG the PS3 outsold the 360...the planets are aligning again. For everyone that cares so much about weekly sales data, you can honestly get a life. I've never seen a better looking Marvel game. The lighting is what catches my eye. Hopefully the game isn't rushed and offers something new.
I agree that 75% looks wrong considering the next lowest score is 80% and then 85% respectively. However, even the best games are not recognized as such by everyone. As soon as the PS3 comes out (at the $400 mark) I will be picking up this game to own. I agree the review was all about nitpicking and less about the fun factor of the game. I still do not hold it against anyone to write out their opinion and neither should anyone else.

Sorry to dissapoint all the fanboys but the average review score by metacritic (16 reviews averaged) is 89%. Not everyone agrees that Ratchet and Clank deserves a 95 percent.
