that PCs are far easier to pirate and piracy is more rampant on the PC. Not to say there isn't console piracy- GTA IV on Xbox is an example. However, if you want to play online you're going to buy a legit copy. It makes sense for companies to look for better ways to protect they're intellectual property. Steam is genius. Too bad the copy protection is only available in Steam purchased games.

The animations seem like an upgrade to me. Overall the visuals seem better. The shadows are much improved and the lighting gives the game a more realistic look to it. It could be argued whether the characters sport more polygons. Here is hoping that Madden this year is more than a simple retooling and has other things different aside from graphics.
I thought that Sony had learned they're lesson and grown up. Arrogant prick still define the company to me. Sony needs to keep their PR on a shorter leash and tell them to stfu. Considering it was such a success, why wouldn't the developers put everything into it ($$$$) to make it even more so. With the PS3 rolling out all of its heavy hitters this fall, Microsoft (the publisher)would be foolish not to throw as much support behind the title. This game is going to be great and every fan of GOW should be happy. Updated tech, better working knowledge of 360 dev, and more time to get the story together should make this the 360 game to own.
why did you choose to get the Xbox 360 version? I was 100% sure I was going to get the 360 version until the ign.com review made me re-think the decision. I am still not sure. I am aware of the pros and cons of either but am curious if the graphical difference is mild and/or effects game play. I sound like such a graphics whore right now but it would be nice to know why people are getting one version over another.

is anything but shorter than a console. Just look at the Game Boy for evidence. The novelty of handhelds is being portable. The PSP and DS offer different experiences but they both allow you to game anywhere; graphics are less of a focus and therefore they're life span is increased.
I was horrified when they purchased Bioware...and now Take 2. What a wonderful way to monopolize the sports genre. EA thinking...hmm, If we buy out Take 2 we don't have to worry about competition. EA's buy out approach to conquering the game industry says a lot to me. First, they aren't good enough to compete outside of their own workforce. Second, they are depending on the FTC to turn a blind eye in terms of anti-trust. Lastly, EA might have a hidden agenda outside of monopolizing the sports...
