@SmielmaN
And yet that's the topic were discussing. And like septic said they're supposed to be showing it off at E3 with Crackdown.
@rainslacker
You make a great point, but it's logical to question his credentials since he doesn't work with the tech of another company. I'm not saying he's clueless lmao wth, I'm just remaining skeptical of his judgment towards someone else's tech, that's all. Not saying he couldn't be co...
@Dark_King
Could've sworn they've talked about using it in the future. Dunno who else has.
He can talk about it on a general level because I'm sure he may have experience with the tech, but he doesn't have experience working with w/e tech MS is using to try to achieve this offloading functionality and that is the difference.
He doesn't communicate with the teams, he's not updated on what they've accomplished, etc, etc. He is well known and very skilled, but what I stated above is the simple difference that people around here seem to have problem...
Many games rely on an Internet connection already anyways, and if this tech can bring some new experiences im all for it.
Gat damn. Dat Dx12 be some gud stuff.
That's really good news.
I was about to say, but the news from gamingbolt is from a dev on twitter. I'm not sure why mrxmedia is linked in.
People don't want devs to show a game were not getting (in certain aspects). In TW3's case it's the graphics. Gameplay is still great and graphics are still great even though they were downed a bit.
I guess it's the standard nowadays that when we first see a game we have to wonder if it'll turn out as presented and that kind of sucks, but things do happen during development and it sometimes isn't entirely the devs fault.
But being able to look...
Come on now. It depends, but for the most part those MS employees actually work at Microsoft and are communicating with and/or have had experience with Dx12 or those working on Dx12, unlike the ex Naughty Dog dev. I mean geez the difference is that simple.
Man, I wonder how you all would react if some ex Halo Dev started talking about Nintendos new API or a mario dev started talking about Vulkan. Tune would change here.
And there is a reason no one else is ta...
That's what has me interested. We don't know enough about the hardware, and whatever details we don't have I feel like we will around the time windows 10 & Directx 12 comes out. I'm not saying there will be some magical boost, but like you said the X1 was built with Directx 12 in mind. They planned it out from the beginning and all they talked about seems to go together like pieces in a puzzle.
It's all very interesting imo.
Didn't know that type of software was a thing on pc. I didn't know Raptr did it and I even have it installed lol. Thanks for the heads up. I'll check out some others too.
We need A console I think. Some type of xPlayU.
Imma be using that last 30 seconds record thing all the time on pc.
Love that I can have something ridiculous happen playing a game on X1 and catch a recording of it right after it happened. Now ill never miss a moment :P
Oh, could come in handy when it comes to hackers too. Catch em in the act with that last 30 sec.
I don't get it. What's the problem with what he said?
It's such a simple statement and most likely common around E3 time and dealing with editing, especially if they have a good chunk to show like last year.
And it's not like he's once again setting us up for disappointment or anything with the resemblance of his wording and the difficulties of their editing in a tweet to a fans question. If anything this should have us expecting a really good show...
This is the article that should have been approved. Not that click bait article earlier about Phil "demanding" less remasters.
He didn't say that lmao. How the hell did this click bait article get approved?
People need to stop only reading the title. Actually the title/ article doesn't even represent Phil Spencers words. Didn't say he "demands less remasters" he said he'd like to bring 360 games to the X1, but he wants to really focus on new games and it's not an easy trade off.
Click bait title/article was effective. Look at these comments. Geez.
What? Dats 4 free games mayne. If I didn't already have The Witcher 3, Black Flag, and Child of Light i'd prolly buy the Uplay version.
"But if you bet on us for Games For Windows – Live, I can understand somebody saying, “Hey, you’re going to have to earn my trust back.” And that’s why when I stand there talking about it, I’m not showing any fancy videos, I’m not trying to pizzazz you with anything other than, “Here’s what we are; here’s what we’re trying to do."
Good stuff Phil.
They didn't brick the console, but they did disable their live accounts.
And breaking a NDA is very serious business. Far worse could've and might happen to the user's.
Sunset Overdrive, TW3, and Bloodborne off the top of my head.
The draw distance and the amount of OD in SSO had me like :o And all the crazy stuff and splosions you could do with 5 (I think) other players with all the A.I running around n biz in the open world is insane.
The atmosphere in BB is gat damn fantastic and really stands out from other games. The music, the sound effects, the animations are all just so good man. I usually don't get scared by jump scare...
