MSFT has said they don't look at Minecraft as a game they look at it as a programming software. I guarantee you they have a backdoor here. I'm not smart enough to know what it is, but they likely think of this as a Trojan horse that will allow them to dominate on Sony's platform like Office or various other MSFT products on iOS, OSX or Android.

You do realize MSFT owns everything you make in Minecraft, so they basically get a couple million programmers working f...

I am looking forward to Bloodborn assuming it gets good reviews. I might end up buying a PS4 if it gets 90%+ because I want KOF2 in June anyway. But I won't buy it day 1.

I also don't expect it to be a huge hit like some on N4G. The Demon Dark series has always been niche. And interest has been fading. The last one sold only 1 million copies on an install base of 80 million PS3s

On of the guys on VGchartz posts a graph of PS4 vs Xone almost weekly. Occasionally he posts what I find FAR more interesting - Xone vs 360 and PS4 vs PS3. I WISH he would post a PS4 vs PS2!!!

The real question will be longevity. PS4 has 2 problems. 1st it's sales in the US already look like they are declining. In November 2014 Sony sold 25% less PS4 then in November 2013. Secondly Nintendo is releasing a new console in 2016 that will be 2.5x more powerful then PS4....

I read "for Japanese gamers" and stopped. There are no Japanese gamers anymore, look at console sales. PS4 has sold only 1 million units there.

They better show us a full level of fighting and open exploration. Right now everything they have shown is cut scene, QTE, NPC walks you to the next area, cut scene, QTE, more cutscene, 30 seconds of fighting, NPC walks you to the next area. The last video I watched the 1st 9 and a half minutes and never saw a fight.

The game pad
The lack of power
The lack of 3rd party games
The lack of online infastructure
The name
The fact that it will be discontinued in 2016 for a new console.

New exclusive AAA IP is critical. They had TF and SSOD in 2014. Both were amazing. Quantum Break and Scalebound in 2015. I'd like to see a couple more.

Making better use of existing IP. Crimson Skies needs a followup badly. Bring us a great Mechwarrior game. Lots of people interested in Shenumu.

AZURE & DX12. We want to see what these can do. I expect DX12 by itself to deliver a 20%+ boost to minimum frame rates. I also expect it to enable a ...

Exploration for explorations sake is only going to be attractive to a VERY SMALL niche. Gathering enough fuel to get to the center of the universe isn't much of a game play mechanic.

Problem 1 - The game is too big. Even if you have 10 million people playing the odds of meeting someone are 0.

Problem 2 - Lack of competition. They need to make it like Trade Wars (for WW4 BBS). People should be able to claim planets with rare resources and fight over th...

Less then 2 hours ago I wrote that I was worried that The Order was too slow, too linear and had too many cut scenes separated by QTEs or NPCs leading you around by the nose - and got crucified for it.

IMO enough people have played the demo and not been blown away by it - that it's worth canceling your pre order and waiting for a couple of reviews. I have yet to read a single review by someone that played the game and gives it a 9 or 10.

I don't unde...

I was hoping for some kind of review that indicates the game isn't just a bunch of cut scenes separated by QTEs. But this article literally had NO information.

Graphics are obviously amazing. The coders were very smart putting in the black bars because they only have to render 800 lines of resolution. That frees up a ton of horsepower combined with the slow pacing of the game and the fact that its not open world.

But a slow paced, on rails, single play...

List is a joke. TLOU's MP is terrible. AC Unity is a broken game. I haven't played ESO since beta - but it was a terrible MMORPG.

List should be Titanfall, Destiny, COD: AW. For Coop Borderlands and DR3.

I'm closing in on 200 hours. This game is brutal if you are a completionist. No end to the content. But you can skip all the side quests.

But what I am hoping happens is like with BG2, where the next huge DLC lets you start becoming Godlike.

The only markets that matter to me are the ones that buy the kind of games I like to play. Japan, China and SE Asia - not so much. Continental Europeans count for maybe 0.5 per person. US, Canada, UK and Australia count full.

The only reason I care about sales is continued developer support for making AAA blockbusters. Zone has that in spades having sold 11 million units while 360 took until May 2008 to hit 10 million.

The idea that I need the PS4 to fail...

Fair list although personally I would add Fable, Scalebound, Quantum Break, Crackdown, Gears.... but at least they didn't buy into the hype of The Order and No Man's Sky.

Yeah and they are looking forward to Oculus Rift so they can never interact with another person.

Screw the Japanese market. It's a dying society and bankrupt economy. MSFT should pull all support for that market. If they want to be Xenophobic fine. Maybe turn off Windows and Office too.

If they add 360 compatibility it would be via the cloud like Sony.

The average PC gamer has a 2 core I5 or an AMD cpu. Only 43% of Steam users have a 4 core chip. I have a 4 core i7 - but its 5 years old (920). The average PC gamer has an Intel Integrated GPU. If we look ONLY at discrete GFX the average PC gamer has a card with 1GB of Vram. I have dual 5870s. I downloaded Dragon Age for the PC. It ran sooo poorly I returned it. I bought it for the Xone and it runs perfectly.

Let me give you the negative scenario. PS4 sold 25% FEWER consoles in North America in November 2014 then it did in November 2013. This could indicate that a huge % of the people that want a PS4 already have one. If PS4 sales in 2015 are 25% lower then 2014, the console will have peaked in year 1. We all saw what happened to the Wii behemoth after it peaked. On top of that Nintendo launches a console 2.5x more powerful then the PS4 in 2016.

PS4 sold 15 million consoles i...

Xone and PS4 are going to finally enable us to kill cable ala carte deals. I watch 5-10 channels max. Let me pay for those and F-the rest.
