@Lukas
You can try to be all righteous now, but your comment history speaks volumes about your loyalty. Your primary focus on N4G is to bash the Xbox and insult it's fans. Many of Axios2 & Truefan's comments (regardless of how true they are) are met with an insult from you.
You may claim to have bough an Xbox One for Titanfall, but I've seen lots of members who claim to own multiple consoles be accused of "trying to appear unbiased"...
Like it or not (and you and Mario obviously do not), Titanfall and Halo are coming, and will sell a LOT of systems. It's irrelevant that Titanfall will also be on 360 and PC - it won't be on PS4, and therefore won't sell any PS4's.
Making fun of Xbox One supporters for mentioning factual information in response to trolling comments (or blogs) usually initiated by PS4 fans just screams of insecurity.
"3. When people insult Kinect" <...
Of course. If there was ever any question as to the bias of N4G, these past two blogs by Maria have officially ended that debate. Not just the fact that they were written, but how quickly they were approved, and supported by other members.
Makes you wonder why Maria is so obsessed with the Xbox One (a console he clearly hates). Usually, supporters of a leader don't worry about who is trailing. Maria is obviously EXTREMELY scared of the Xbox One - there's no other...
"Furthermore, Xbone launched a WEEK after Ps4. If it were going to "Equal Sony's benchmark" they would have to reach 5 million IN A FEW DAYS, not get around to it in a month."
I don't know what your point is here. Xbox One did launch a week later than PS4. Therefore, instead of reaching the milestone on March 31, they will have until April 7 (a full week later). That way, both will be compared based on the exact same timeframe.
"No. Of those nearly 4 million, only about 3 million are sold through to customers. Roughly 900 thousand are languishing in stores, warehouses etc, possibly more."
That's old data. The figures you're referring to are as of December 31. 3 million were sold to consumers as of that date. Now, it's seven weeks later. Do you really believe there have been NO Xbox One's sold in the past seven weeks?
"The Xbox One isn't failing in sales, that's just a plain fact. It's just not as wanted as the PS4 is, that's also a fact."
I agree 100%. That's a main point of my blog.
"No one even cares that the PS4 is outselling Past Playstation consoles."
That's 100% false. Just look at the article I referenced. Look at all the excitement regarding how PS4 is selling in relation to the past, even though it...
MS announced 3.9 million shipped as of December 31 (in their official financial report). Even if a few hundred thousand were sitting on store shelves, it's been seven weeks since that report. Using reliable reporting services, it's pretty easy to see that Xbox One is now near 4 million, unless you believe that virtually no Xbox One's have been sold in the past seven weeks.
Everything Axios2 said is 100% fact. It comes directly from a Sony controlled website (Du...
@johndoe11211
They've sold nearly 4 million in 3 months. Regardless of how PS4 is doing, 4 million is a huge success. Not to mention, they've done it WITHOUT Halo, Gears, or Titanfall.
Sorry if you don't want to believe the Xbox One is doing well, but your negative spin is pretty desperate.
How the Xbox One is selling in comparison to some of the best selling consoles in history is VERY important. Unfortunately for you, you jus...
@Axios2
You're right. However, that point seems to be lost among all the high fiving and chest thumping going on around here.
The sales gap exists because PS4 is doing better than expected, not because the Xbox One is faltering.
Remember, before the new consoles launched, Sony announced a goal of 5 million PS4 sales by March 31, 2014. That was their benchmark for success. They've already exceeded that.
However, Xbox One is nearly at 4 million. It will likely exceed 5 million by the end of March, thus meeting the success requirement that Sony set. It may not be as successful ...
Gamestop can still sell used discs for less than the digital price, considering how much they pay for them. I don't see a problem here.
Besides, digital copies SHOULD be lower in price. After all, there's no manufacturing, packaging, or shipping expenses involved. If console manufacturers want an all digital future, it will happen only when prices are appropriate. People just aren't going to spend the same for a digital copy when they can own a disc that will...
Well, it's not exactly a fair comparison to combine sales of PS franchises against a single Xbox franchise. I could always say that the combined sales of Halo, Gears, Titanfall, and Forza will roughly equal the combined totals of those games you mentioned.
"And lets face it- people would rather pay 400 bucks to play BETTER versions of multiplats than 500 bucks for WORSE versions of those multiplats."
That's true if those people wanted ONLY ...
You're saying that Drive Club, Infamous, MGS, & Watchdogs will drive PS4 sales to a 2:1 ratio over X1, but you're forgetting that MS has some huge titles coming as well.
MGS & Watchdogs aren't exclusive to PS4. If those franchises truly are system sellers, they will certainly sell Xbox One's as well. Plus, despite the hate around these parts for Titanfall, it will sell Xbox One's too. Sure, it's also available on 360 and PC, but it's not...
Exactly why do you THINK Xbox One isn't that high? Is it because you don't want to believe it? Do you have access to sales numbers that the rest of the internet isn't privy to?
Only short sighted people with agendas care about what "place" a console ended up in. Here's the real facts about last generation:
Nintendo went from 22 million customers to 100 million - a GAIN of nearly 80 million.
Microsoft went from 25 million to 80 million - a GAIN of 55 million.
Sony went from 150 million to 80 million - a LOSS of 70 million.
Only in the most delusional world is it better to lose 70 milli...
It's very hard for the true Xbox fans to comment. Due to the ridiculous bubble system, even the most neutral pro-Xbox comments are hammered with disagrees and marked for trolling. Meanwhile, idiotic comments are rewarded as long as they're staunchly pro-Sony or anti-Xbox. The real trolls are given more bubbles by the mods, and more power to shape the site their way.
Just look at Septic's comment above that was marked for trolling. All he's doing is respon...
It doesn't matter how many years the 360 outsold the PS3. The FACT is that he's lying and he knows it.
Of course, equally desperate people around here will blindly agree with him because he's saying what they want to hear, even if it's 100% false.
By the way, it wasn't just one year, and it wasn't by a small amount like 100K.
You guys can pretend that Halo and Gears of War aren't coming simply because they don't yet have release dates, but we all know they're on the way.
Halo & Gears are the top two proven system selling exclusive franchises. That's why so many PS supporters are high fiving each other now over PS4's early sales. Enjoy it well you can because the biggest system selling franchises have not yet arrived, and it will be a much different story when they do.
You might want to check your numbers again.
PS3 did NOT outsell 360 every year.
You may get a lot of support around here from many others who don't know the facts either, but having to resort to flat-out lying to make your favorite console seem better than it really is just screams of desperation.
You have to decide what's more important. Some people would rather have better looking clouds and trees than a solid 60fps framerate for a racing title.
